I googled and it would take me 15 hours to drive there, assuming I didn't have to stop to eat or pee or...... Do you think that's too obsessive?

I am pretty excited! I haven't been there for 2 or 3 years. Especially appreciate that you can get single sheets of paper. I have a big collection of OA and it is the only brand that I intentionally hoard nearly all of it. So....time to buy more to actually use I did do a scrapbook for DD with Sasparilla for a girl's trip to Arizona. I hadn't planned to do one for myself, but it was so fun to do a book with only one line (yes, matchy-matchy is my thing) that I would especially like to get more of that and do one for me, too.

I love OA. I have gone to the last three sales. Even if I can't use all my OA in this lifetime, I am still going!

Even though I only live 45 minutes from there, I have never been to one of their sales. I'm thinking I might go this year!!!

The best deals? Please feel free to add any details no matter how extra sous you think they may be....I need to live vicariously through your access to the OA warehouse!!

I actually suggested to DH that we take the kids to the Mall of America for a long weekend adventure and detour by the Warehouse sale. He didn't even laugh at me!!

Their warehouse sales are worth going to and standing in the insanely long line for. I like the stamp sets, the 8x8 pads, the packs of tidbits and the sticker sheets. Usually they do stuff like the little packs of stuff 2 or 3 for $4-6, I think stamp sets are around $8 or so (I could be wrong), etc. Sometimes they have things in bulk that you can pick through like buttons or printed diecut things.
I don't know, I just buy what I like and it's less than retail so I kind of don't care what it costs. They usually will also have several categories of things that are buy four get one free too but their signage about that kind of stinks at times so you don't realize it until you're in the insanely long checkout line where you can't get back out and in line again. Sometimes they have kits or grab bags that are a good deal, but usually they're of the older stuff. I don't need the latest and greatest for what I do so it doesn't bother me if it's not all the newest stuff.

I agree with crazy4scraps - it gets a little crazy in there. It's a small space, so they limit the number of shoppers allowed inside. I didn't think the prices were quite as good last year as previous years. Part of the allure is being able to see the products right in front of me. So often, it's hard to find OA in stores. Now it's hard to find stores! There is something about OA's products that just makes me fall in love with them. That said, I CANNOT buy any more of the Birthday Cake or Halloween lines!

When I see the stuff online, it usually doesn't do much for me. But for some reason when I see it in real life, I'm all like and I find myself scooping up a bunch of it!

Still daydreaming, I guess. I re entered it in my navigator, as of the route shrunk since last week But no such luck. Still need the astronaut diapers, a camelbak, and a drive through.

I wish I could go...but it would take me more than 15 hours by PLANE, lol!
I always wait for their Santa Sacks and get those. We had epic threads about those last December!
I will say, I feel slightly lucky because this huge online store here in Australia must have found some old OA stock recently...I got the Campfire stamp set (complete with PRECIOUS fox!) for $8.00 (Australian!) and the Midway 8x8 pad for something stupid like $5.00. I was so happy I almost cried.
So even if I can't go to the Warehouse sale...there was that...

I wish that's all it was! I wouldn't let run of the mill cleaning stop me. We've got 6 families (24 people) coming over on Sunday for a birthday party BBQ for DD, and the house looks like a bomb went off! Besides baking and decorating a castle cake and princess cupcakes, cooking for all those people, putting together princess AND pirate goodie bags (because virtually ALL the neighbor kids are boys, ugh!), I have to get the house cleaned up to "company" standards and totally put away most of DD's toys, books and junk that is currently laying around. It's ugly. I learned my lesson the hard way that just having the toys stashed in latched bins tucked away in the corner does NOT make them off limits to visiting kids. OMG, the last time we had a party they dragged out EVERY box and scattered a million little toys all over the house and yard! Some have still not turned up. One of the kids even lost part of her Halloween costume in the mix, and that's never turned up either! So yeah. ALLLL of that stuff is getting put away down in the basement where they won't be allowed to go. It's going to be a busy few days ahead! Normally we wouldn't have this many people for a kid's party, but we've suffered through all of the neighbor kid's parties so of course they all got invited to ours, LOL. You know what they say about paybacks! Next year will be a much different story. Six kids, bounce place or whatever, BOOM! Done!

Did anyone go tonight? I plan on going on Saturday with a group of friends but just wondering how different it will be from past years.

I went last night. The set up is the same as last year, but they changed the checkout. I don't know that it helped speed it up, but it was organized.
I wish they had more paper selection. They had 5 tables, I think, with paper stacked on it. I was excited they had 8x8 paper pads for $2, but they only had two types.
I had an email saying they worked through the night to slash prices.

Wow $2! Which ones were they? I know they said they would have paper lines available that had never been at the Warehouse sale before...which ones were they if you know. and...what did YOU get? Come on spill it...

impearia I didn't have time to take a photo - bad Pea, I know! I can't remember which two paper pads. As to lines they didn't have before, I didn't really see anything that jumped out at me. I was excited that the free gift they gave me was for Treasure Map. It had letters and stickers in it. They also gave me a few sheets from the new summer line. The thing I bought the most of were tin pins (obsessed with flair!) that were 3 packs for $5. Also, I love the Daily Flash alpha packs link. They were an ok deal at $2. I stocked up on those. Click on the link for a photo of those. ETA - I forgot, they did have the 12x12 and 6x12 sticker sheets for Treasure Map, so those are new.

Yeah, I'd say that 24 people coming over is a much bigger deal than a run of the mill cleaning. I had family over the last two days hosting a tag sale and I need to get cleaning for company coming on Tuesday. It's my husband's second best friend who's coming from out of state with his girlfriend "who could be the one." I've got a sunburn and aches and pains from the tag sale. Well, I hope you have a great party that people talk about for years to come. Next year you've got to go to the warehouse sale!
