I decided that I would computerize my i stamp inventory using Evernote. I have started by going to the books I've already made with all my stamp sets in them. I have already listed the contents of 150 CDs and DVDs. I think this is going to take a lonnnnng time!! The worst of it is, I don't think I can give up my physical books. That means I will have two inventories. But I love the idea that I can search for things using the tags that I create. This will be especially useful for those sets that actually come under many categories because they have sentiments saying get well, happy birthday and thank you , etc
Is anyone else here also using Evernote to make and inventory?

I use it for my embossing folders and dies. It has helped a lot. I've used internet photos with the title of each. That way I know what I have.

I have been looking for images on the Internet for a stamp sets that I have names for. But some of them are old and I've not been able to find images or I don't have enough information to find it. In that case, I have been taking pictures with the computer and putting that into the inventory. I think I'm going to really like it once it's done.

I make up names for the ones I don't have names for and cannot find on the internet like "girl in window" lol that's an actual stamp set in my inventory.

I don't yet, but will as it would really help me from having to pull piles of stamp sets out to decide what I want to use

I spent a couple of hours last night (after watching thekatsmeow's fabulous tutorial!) inventorying my stamps. I got about 30 sets entered into Evernote, and it was challenging to find photos online for a few, but I did eventually manage to find them all. I really think this is going to get me to use my stamps more.
I also started a separate inventory this morning for my dies and embossing folders...fortunately I have far fewer of those than stamps so I should be able to finish up pretty quickly!

I'm working on this too. I have mostly CTMH stamps (up to 150 ... with more to go ... yikes) so have decided to keep stamps by company in their own notebooks. Also categorizing other supplies too (stickles, dies, embossing folders, etc). I've been using Google Images for most of my pictures. There are a few I haven't found, so will take pictures of those when I'm done.
I'm also using it to track my Nail Polish and Jamberry wraps! LOL

Also categorizing other supplies too (stickles, dies, embossing folders, etc). I'm planning to inventory my 6x6 pads at some point, but inventorying means owning up to exactly how many I have, and I'm not sure I'm ready for that!

I am now up to over 200 CDs and DVDs of stamps. Then I'm thinking I should do my dies. I'll probably start with my Sizzix dies because they are not out where I can see them and easier to forget. My Sendai set right out on the counter in the refrigerator tray and are pretty visible . I'm not sure I can find the names for all of my embossing folders, so I don't know if they will make it into Evernote. I probably have some around 130 or 140 of those. I'm not certain, because I use different numbering systems for the different sizes. I know there are 111 of the 4 x 6 embossing folders. Did I ever say, I have too much stuff? Then I'm thinking I should do my inks.

I use Evernote too. I started using it for just for cataloguing my stamps, but then I expanded it to stencils and dies, and then lists of everything else I have (like ink and marker colors so I'd never duplicate when shopping), and then it spiraled into bins full of ideas and wish lists too. It's become my go-to place for inspiration and crafting lists.
I'm not a giant fan of Evernote itself, but organizing a specific hobby this way just works.

I use Evernote for both stamps and dies. I put in sentiments as tags so I can search for them and also link stamps with their coordinating dies and vice versa. I much prefer it to a physical index.

I am so glad this was posted. I've been wanting to get a computer inventory of my stamps, dies and embossing folders to make it easier to find what I need, but didn't know where to start. Thanks! This is going on my summer to-do list.

I now have over 400 notes. My dies are all done but I'm still working on my stamps. Embossing folders may be difficult to do. I dread trying to identify all of them. Other than ink pads, I do embossing folders may be difficult to do. I kind of not plan to inventory anything expendable... Comics are already in a Copic app

All of my dies and all of my embossing folders are now inventoried. I am still working on stamps. I think I will be working forever on that one! I finally solved my sync problem and now access Evernote on both my iPad and my cell phone as well as the laptop where I'm working on it. I am loving it and I'm about to throw away my notebook that has my die catalog in it..... Except a little part of me is afraid to do something so permanent.
I had to edit this post. When I first posted it said all of my guys..... I think I like that version better!
