Yesterday I was going to check out OA's blog when I accidentally clicked on their web page instead. What a surprise when it opened to the OA product page with a new line listed above Treasure Map called Summer Time. It looks pretty cute. Not sure when it's releasing, but I'm sure I'll be ordering at least part of it when it does! Here's the link to the product page. www.octoberafternoon.com/line.php?line=STWhat do ya'll think?

That looks like the Daily Flash line they were planning on offering, but revamped. I am glad to see it will come to stores...eventually.

Love it! I notice there are no doo-dads, tid-bits or miscelleny. Did they do away with all that stuff? Love the roller stamp!

Love it. Won't hold my breath. Wonder which of those items will not actually come to fruition? I really like the Pillow Puffs!

That looks like the Daily Flash line they were planning on offering, but revamped. I am glad to see it will come to stores...eventually. I prefer this line as originally introduced, Daily Flash Summertime*, since it included snap caps, flash blurbs, & a 6x8 paper pack. Although I only intend to buy a couple sheets of paper (for the patterns on the reverse) & possibly the roller stamp, it's my understanding the line has already started shipping to retailers! Love it! I notice there are no doo-dads, tid-bits or miscelleny. Did they do away with all that stuff? Love the roller stamp! Yikes! I hope this is not an indication that doodads, tidbits, &/or miscellany will no longer be offered in future OA collections. *Note image found during a Google search; I'm not the Pinterest account holder.

I like a few of the patterns in the paper (B sides), and the label stickers and chipboard shapes. I miss the miscellany packs, too...
October Afternoon used to be my 'first love' for scrapbook paper, but either my tastes have changed, or they have, but some of the imagery is a little too cute for me now.

A couple of things...
Since this is probably more of a Daily Flash line it seems to have different emebllishment assortment than their, for lack of a better term, regular lines. If you notice it has pillow puffs, enamel shapes, double take stickers, washi and a roller stamp. There are no mini market stickers, brads, chip 'n' stick or 12 x 12 sticker sheets like there were in their most recent full line Treasure Map. Even for a Daily Flash line it has less total embellishments than earlier lines. Perhaps, OA are being more careful with what they bring out presently because the market is a bit tight at the moment.
I would say that OA may have phased out miscellany packs and buttons. Which is too bad because they are fun, but buttons don't seem popular right now and their miscellany packs were expensive and always ending up in the Santa sacks presumably because they didn't sell as well as some of the other embellishments.
It should be noted that the shape stickers called "Double Take stickers" are not chipboard like the chip 'n' sticks. They offered these in their other Daily Flash sets, they are two sheets of flat stickers one of images and one is mostly labels.

I think you're right. Truthfully, all of the stuff they appear to have phased out was stuff that was constantly ending up dumped at Joann's online warehouse or on the deals sites -- the miscellany for sure, but also the chip'n'stick, minimarkets/buttons in gaudy colors, etc. The doo-dads and tid-bits were always overpriced for how few and how simple they were, and I never met a miscellany pack that wasn't a disappointment when it arrived as there was always a lot of junky stuff in it that had been arrayed on the promo pic to show the one good corner. THIS set looks super cute. I'll be buying a lot of it and am SO glad to see it out finally, even in altered form. Honestly, I'd given up on ever seeing it. I'm actually sort of glad to see OA back in the game and visibly moving to match trends. Take my money, etc. Edit: Thanks Impearia, good time to use that 20% code at ACOT I suppose!

I think this sreamlined version of a line is really good actually. Those Pillow Puffs are SO cute. I need 3 packs at least! And most people like enamel dots/shapes. i have a few packs of OA ones and they are really nice and match their lines perfectly colourwise. I also like that they aren't too thick, some are more domed than others. And washi...I like their washi and can always use more.

I really like the snapcaps and flash blurbs and wish they would have done them. But I'm glad they are putting out more lines on a regular basis!
Once it's "in stock" I know I'll be ordering.

As confirmed yesterday on the OA blog, Summertime is currently shipping to retailers. I appreciate that OA's color palette allows scrappers to mix & match products within & across various collections. Many of OA's versatile embellishments that are already on the market (e.g. alpha stickers, labels, buttons) will coordinate with Summertime, although not specifically released with this line. I'm especially disappointed Summertime no longer includes a 6x8 paper pack. IIRC, Summertime is the last OA line previously revealed to be produced. I look forward to OA's next completely new release! I'm hoping for sports, teen boy, middle/high school, &/or Thanksgiving lines...

You know, I don't love it. It's cute but it doesn't seem "special" to me, just cute, I didn't like Staurday morning at all... wth OA ? lol.... Maybe I have too much stuff lol.... I am pretty sure I have every line up until now and loved them all.
