if you have unmounted your wood stamps, are there any that you decided not to unmount. Why?
I unmounted most of mine a few years ago, but there are some I was reluctant to unmount. I have a bunch of the early club scrap stamps (numbered) and they are still on their blocks. I also have some stampscapes that I have kept on wood. One I will have to because it is too long for any block I have ever seen, but the others could be unmounted. I don't know why I hesitate....heck, most of these are sold as unmounted now!

Yes and no. I unmount only when I decide I want to use that stamp. I don't want to go to all the work of unmounting them and then have them just sit there.

Like oldcrow, I only unmounted the ones I use frequently.
Except for the background stamps. I prefer to have/use them on wood. I'm unhappy with the ones I did unmount.

Yes, background stamps are another one I did not unmount. I thought I would get a better impression with the wood mount. But I'm now considering trying to mount them because I have the Misti. If I don't like The impression the first time, I can just stamp again.

I only have Impression Obsession background stamps and they are cling back. Before I got the Misti I set them rubber side up and then inked them and then laid the paper on and used an acrylic block to push the paper onto(into) the ink. Doing it that way you don't need a big block.
But having the Misti makes it foolproof.

I'm pretty much an unmounted person (from way before the MISTI was ever a thing) but there are some that I chose to leave mounted: Everything House Mouse, because the images on the blocks are such a good coloring guide My little alphabets that are mounted on pegs - because I am certain that if I took them off the wood, I would be losing letters right and left A couple from Memory Box that have like a branch or something like that on the bigger flat part and then a flower or bird on the end - they are easier to use and store on the blocks the way they came And when I finally bought Teeny Tiny Wishes from Stampin Up, I ordered that as wood mound. The sentiments are tiny and I felt that they might not stick all that well to the acrylic blocks unless I left off the indexing stickers - which would make it rather difficult to see what the heck the sentiment was Those are easier to use on the wood blocks, and they fit in the one storage box. I figure that having a few left on the wood mounts don't take up so much extra space that I need to feel bad about not converting them.

The only ones I have not unmounted are the ones I just haven't quite gotten around to unmounting. Now that we are gearing up to finally move halfway across the country, I guess I had better finish the rest. Mounted stamps are heavy and take up too much space.

Just large backgrounds because I thought they were easier to use on the blocks. Mind you I didn't have a huge collection of wood mount stamps. I've always preferred photopolymer.

I started to many, many years ago to my stampin' up sets and found it tedious and time consuming and stopped. But I love how Old Crow does it, and will totally consider doing that from now on. There are some that I like to display and those will stay on wood blocks.
