It was pretty cloudy earlier. I was unable to see the moon on the horizon...will try again tomorrow for a shot with some perspective for size. This is all I got tonight...which I still like the picture...but it could be just any other full moon with nothing on the horizon to compare to indicate the size.
Went to a local sunflower field y'day and took a few that I was pleased with. I'm sure there's someone who can find plenty of fault with these...after all, I'm not a professional...just a mom with a camera. But I enjoyed going and taking them and I enjoy the finished product. The only editing done on any of the pics (incl moon) is cropping. (not even auto correct...my preferred photo editing software is on laptop and that's been running really slow...so all I've done lately is on desktop)
Oh...this black and white was edited...obviously

And they're really big...they're on FB...and I'm right clicking on them and copying/pasting the "properties". Sorry they're so big. Since they're from fb and not photobucket, I'm not really sure how to edit the size. (it's just easier to click on them in FB than to download them in photobucket)

These are really, really nice! Don't downplay your skills, you're not "just" a mom with a camera! You've got a great eye, these are gorgeous. I especially like the one with the chair and the flag. TFS

TFS Hey, I think it's some really nice work! While I'm not a big fan of bees, the photo of the flower with the bee on it is so clear, it's a really good photo. Keep at it, you're better than a lot of people! (I've browsed a lot of "professional" sites in the course of doing one for a professional photographer.)

If I had decent photo editing software, I could clean up the petals on the bee/flower picture. Thanks for taking a look and thanks for the kind comments. I really enjoy taking pictures...guess I got that from my Grandparents. (the camera in my profile pic...was my Grandmother's camera...mine now...a true SLR where every setting had to be set...picture taking was so difficult...I sure wish they were around today to share my pictures with. They would be amazed at how easy photography is today.)

Those are great photos - look very professional to me! Nice job!
The moon looks like it has a dot at the "bottom" and lines going up all around it from that dot - reminded me of an orange.
That's an awesome shot of the moon!

That's an awesome shot of the moon! I refer to that "dot" as the belly button. LOL

DD#1 came with me...I tried to get her in some of the photos. She was not interested. She did however bring her camera and she too took pictures. (so while I didn't get pictures of her, I got pictures WITH her)

Dare I ask?
HOW do you shoot the moon? My photos never look good and quick searching hasn't done much to help.
It's a gorgeous shot, so I figured I'd ask someone who has it figured out. :-)

Great shots here Jenny. Love the sunflower with the Bee, it would make a lovely canvas on a wall somewhere. I like it the way it is.Sometimes if you clean things up they start to look false. Love the empty chair and flag too, nice texture from the old wood. Have you used an action on the tractor? If not, I'm very jealous of your natural light
