I'm watching the E special About Bruce where they are showing Bruce talking to his daughters, and I'm crying my eyes out!
How difficult for any family to go through this, let alone one who is (at their own choice) so in the public eye. I guess I never thought of this situation as the person that you grow up with and love is not going to be that person any longer....I know it's the same person, but living as another gender, just they way they're all saying they are going to miss "Bruce" when "Bruce" becomes "Her"...

It's a loss. But you have to be supportive and mash down that sadness when you're in front of the trans person.

I'm curious if they had that conversation before the cameras or if they wanted to do a raw emotions unscripted real sit down?
Kylie or Kendall set up security cameras in their bedroom to find out if her sister was stealing her clothes and caught Bruce doing it. Kim walked in on Bruce trying on her clothes. I wonder if they talked about it then or if it was ignored?
Bruce told his other wives about this during their marriages, did he not tell Kris? It seemed like this was new news to her after 25 years of marriage?

I can't in any way imagine what he must have gone through emotionally all those years. I just hope that after the transition is complete that he finds happiness. Yes, it has to be really difficult for his children, all of them.

Bruce told his other wives about this during their marriages, did he not tell Kris? It seemed like this was new news to her after 25 years of marriage? I watched his interview w/ Diane Sawyer. If I am remembering correctly, he did mention it to her because she caught him dressing up in clothes and/or he was taking hormones around that time. But she kind of laughed it off like she didn't believe him or didn't take him seriously.

I watched last night. Their feelings seem to be pretty honest and open......I guess as much as they could be.
Kris really was torn. I can't imagine how I'd feel, let alone someone who has dealt with these feelings for 65 years.
I like how Kim is going to help him with clothing. I think "she" will rock it!

It is difficult for the family to adjust as it is any time life doesn't turn out as you were expecting. But, at the end of the day, they need to show that their love and support for Bruce is stronger and more important than holding on to those expectations.

I didn't watch last night. But after watching his Diane Sawyer interview I find it hard to believe that Kris knew nothing. I simply don't believe that.

I think Kris knew and it was never out right said to her. I think they said she saw him cross dressing. Knowing something and then actually hearing it makes it real.
She said last night something about him taking hormones. He said he had in the 80's, but then quit when they got together. After he moved out of their house he went back to his therapist and began the process again.
Reality is rough and that's what Kris and the family are dealing with.

I shed a few tears too...felt bad for Kendall & Kylie and thought about the confusion that Mason and Penelope will have (grandchildren) Kris seemed to be sad and upset but I can't believe anything she says as fame and money are her real loves. With all that money and knowing he was coming over to talk, why didn't she wear waterproof mascara?

I guess I just never considered that sense of loss from the family members and it made me sad for them. And also the betrayal aspect....not that they're unsupportive of his decision/transition, but it sounds like there were several instances and many conversations, where Bruce shut down, and I understand the fear and confusion on his part also, where he told them he was fine, etc.
I know lots of people have poked fun at Bruce and the whole family in the past....I do hope it helps other families who are going through this.
Working in HR, I have had a couple of employees in the past who transitioned from male to female, both left our employment before going through gender reassignment surgery, and I actually don't know if either were going to do that, but it was difficult for some employees to accept that they were going to go by different names, dress as women and use the ladies room.

I just kept thinking 'how brave of them all to put this out there'. A lot of it was confusing to me. Bruce thought he had made it clear to everyone what was going to happen and then come to find out no one had the same impression he did...it seemed like he has lied so much over the 60+ years, he cant even be truthful now. Even though its out. I don't know. And then they referenced her in the 3rd person, she is fun and relaxed, etc....but then would say 'well Im not going anywhere'....

I was listening to the news this morning and the anchors were discussing how brave it was for that whole family to live their lives in the public eye like this and it just made me mad. Now I do think its brave of Bruce Jenner to come out and talk about this and raise awareness. But that whole family have shoved themselves front and center to the public eye for years, for no reason other than to make money. So I have no sympathy for the rest of them having to deal with this in public. They have chosen for years to discuss every tiny detail of their lives with the whole world. I do everything I can to avoid that whole family.

In the early episodes you hardly saw them but it's just interesting to note that being on a reality show is their norm. I'm sure the episodes are all scripted so they were excited to finally have a REAL story line. Bruce even made a crack to Diane about how this is their first real storyline on the show.

They are "shoved" in our faces because we choose to watch. They've made the money because so many people watch the show, buy the magazines and app.
IMO no one can be "shoved" in anyone's face. If someone is trying to do that walk away or in this case change the channel.

Oh, I don't watch their shows, ever. But their commercials show up on all the other channels and I don't even watch TV that much. I mute and I mute and I change the channels and STILL they show up everywhere. Ick. I don't want my girls thinking anything they do is okay. Okay, maybe the breastfeeding is okay, but none of the rest of it.
