I am a diehard fan of the most of the stuff the Heartfelt Creations puts out. I own many of the dies, and would go for more BUT need to stay refrigerated on spending! LOL They have just released the Cut Mat Create collection. What a great idea for those of us who like multiple photos on our layouts, but really don't want to go the PL direction. I really don't want to go to pocket scrapbooking and this seems to be the best of all worlds. Reminds me of the "Plan-a-Page" of the old days, but with much more flexibility! I will have to sleep on this because even with my Platinum membership 20% off . . . it will still be $112 just for the die sets. I like the paper and card kit. If I had more time I would get the whole set, but.must.be.good.do.not.spend!

You had me intrigued until you got to the part about the cost - WHOA! If it works for you, and you think you'll get your money's worth, then I say go for it. I do a monthly PL, as well as traditional 12x12, so I don't think this is for me, but TFS.

Where did you see the die sets for $112? On their website, the cost of both sets of dies is actually closer to $140! They show the entire collection, with dies, stamps, and paper, at $250.88.
It's a cool concept, and I love their stamps and coordinating dies, but that seems really pricey! I also think that pages would start looking too much the same very, very quickly.

As I mentioned in my OP I have a platinum membership which I purchased the first time I shopped at a convention. It is 20% off of everything through their website and when at conventions. Thus my cost is $112. By comparison I do agree pages could look similar very quickly however do take a look at Layout sketches at Heartfelt Creations. I believe their intent, is to compete with Project Life with a little more creativity allowed because you don't have to use pocket pages. Project Life looks the same almost every page. That is the purpose that makes it quick.

I have seen them at Convention many times over the years, and bought many of their products there, but I don't remember a membership ever being mentioned by any of their staff. They didn't have this system at the recent Scrapbook Expo that I attended, but perhaps it's a good thing. I might have bought it on impulse, but after thinking it over a bit, I don't think it is for me. The similarity of Project Life pages is definitely one of the things I don't like about PL. I did understand that this system is meant to compete with PL, while allowing for more creativity than Project Life does. I think it's a smart concept. I also did take a look at their sketches. Unfortunately, the layout designs still look all too similar to each other IMO, although certainly not as bad as PL.

I have seen some other competitors for PL... Maybe at hobby lobby. I have also liked some of the club scrap kits with their instructions to design pages using all of the paper in the kit.

I've seen PL at Jo-anns and Michaels now . . . but no Hobby Lobby here YET, it is coming.

I think I'd rather buy the Becky Higgins PL die that cuts 3x4, or use my cricut to cut basic shapes. I don't care for all the flourishes on the Heartfelt Creations dies. I wouldn't use them enough to justify the cost.
