I haven't ever had to purchase page protectors before because I've been using the ones provided in my albums (lots of albums!). Well, I'm finally running dry lol and could use some recommendations.
So what's your favorite brand and why do you prefer it? (I currently use post bound albums but just bought my first 3-ring...can you use the same protectors in both album types interchangeably?)
Thanks all!

No - the psotbound page protectors and 3 ring are different.
I use 3 ring - I prefer teh WRMK pp becuase they are thick and sturdy and my pages tend to be heavy with lots of embellishment... However - I have bought a ton BH PL pp's becusae the price is so amazing... like huge variety packs of 30 or 60 on Amazon.
I can't help with the post bound - not even sure who makes these anymore?

I only use WRMK albums and their protectors.
ETA: Sorry I didn't answer your questions. I don't think that post-bound and three ring are interchangeable.
I like the WRMK leather albums because I think they look nice and hold a lot of pages.
Before my switch to WRMK (thank you BH!) I was a CM girl. Yeah, the "12 x 12" that were really 12 x 11 3/4. That drove me bananas.

Another vote for WRMK. I have some of the project life page protectors too but I don't feel they are the same quality as the WRMK.

I buy page protectors at H.L. But they are cheap and will sag.
I have to store my 3 ring 12x12 albums laying down which is OK because I don't have a place to store them standing anyway. I mostly scrap 8x11 and the sagging is no so bad with them. I use the same protectors for post bound and 3 ring. I punch new holes when they don't fit. That works for me, too because I use a 3 ring until I am finished with the album then transfer it to the post bound.
So, if you scrap 12x12 3 ring and don't want your pages to sag buy the WRMK page protectors.

WRMK 12x12 protectors are cheaper than the Becky Higgins ones on Amazon. You can get 50 WRMK ones for $16.04. WRMK protectors on Amazon

K and Company are my favorite page protectors, but they might be discontinued. The sizing was very consistent and the pages left just enough room to fit two not-too-bulky scrapbook pages.

another vote for We R Memory Keepers, you can get them on Amazon for a good price. They also make my favorite albums.

I prefer WRMK because they are thick and have the outside edge sealed. I get them from Wal-Mart.

The WRMK ones work in both post bound & 3 ring. I know not all companies are interchangeable (found that out the hard way), but those have fit in every album I've tried them in so far.

Looks like the majority of you are in favor of WRMK...I found both their post bound and 3 ring protectors at JoAnn's for 40% off (plus free shipping), so I'll give them a try! Thank you everyone for your input, much appreciated!

I had no idea the WRMK fit both because as you said, the others don't - good to know. I only use 3 ring WRMK albums these days but I ahve older post bound albums that need a few pages inserted here and there if I ever get caught up - yeah right!

I'm another vote for the WRMK page protectors.
Thanks for the Amazon tip. I buy all my adhesives on Amazon. I don't know why I didn't think of them for the page protectors. I used to buy them at Target, but they no longer carry them. Last time I bought them at Walmart.
