I thought I would try Project Life, bought the pages from Becky, all kinds of inserts, etc. And they sat in the corner along with all my other scrapbook supplies..for a couple of years, sigh.
But now I'm trying to organize photos for a family reunion and the pocket pages are perfect! I'm not adding any embellishments since I don't really have time, but the pocket pages are making it so easy to put the photos in order...and forcing me to cull and trim the not-so-good photos. So I'm not really doing Project Life, but at least I'm using the supplies.

Glad you've found a way to use them! Maybe you'll be inspired to do the craft part another time?!

You are doing Project Life! It's all about taking the products and making them your own.

I don't use them the traditional way either, but I love my pocket pages. Generally used for additional photos to go along with a tradition layout(s), or for multiple pages. They are awesome to include lots of photos. I do include the journaling cards for quickly writing out the details. And some for just decoration. If I add extra on top of that, great; if not, it still looks good.

I think this is actually Project Life at its original/basic form. As it has gained popularity, people have been adapting it to suit their style. However, the original was meant to be done without adhesive or scissors....just slip in the pockets, journal, and done.

I actually have old photo albums that I organized like this. Maybe I was the original pocket page scrapper, lol.

So I'm not really doing Project Life, but at least I'm using the supplies. I just came from a family reunion. I bought a stack of the mini albums on clearance, took a bunch of extra cards, cut a bunch of old paper down to size, and brought my Selphy. I ended up taking & printing the photos and picking out the cards/papers for all but two books, but a lot of people now have RECENT photos in albums ready to look at. People were really happy to have actual photos again.

That's incredibly generous of you Leftturn. What kind of albums were they? I'm thinking doing a digital album and letting everyone order their own.
