I went with an iPhone 6+. It seemed to make sense since we already have iPads, other iPhones etc. I think I may have found a calendar app I like but looking for other must have phone apps. Not games! I searched old threads for ideas but looking to see if there are other ideas. I'm sure I've read abt a thread for grocery lists where I can scan in what I need or have runout of before I discard the empty container. Thanks! already have: hay day, project life, fitness pal, fitbit, kindle, nook, goodreads, cartwheel ?

My "must have" is an ap for watching weather related radar when I am out. I also like shazam for identifying that song on the radio I can't figure out.

A few that I use frequently: Cardstar (free) - keeps up with all of those store cards so that I don't have to carry them with me. SplashID (pay) - I have the iPhone app and the desktop version and I sync between the two. This keeps up with all of my user id's, passwords, account numbers, etc. etc. I love having it on my desktop as well as on my phone when I am out and about. However, you have to pay for each separately. I have been using this for a long time so I paid for a lifetime version of it so I never have to pay for upgrades. This is by far, my most used app that I have purchased. Pepperplate (free) - I use this for recipes. I know a lot of people use Paprika. That is a pay app. So far though, every time I hear about things that people do with Paprika, I can do the same with Pepperplate. Pepperplate can also be accessed on the web and it syncs with your phone app. Yahoo Sports (free) - Love this for keeping up with sporting events, scores, etc. During football season, if there is a game going on that I can't watch on TV for whatever reason, I can see the play by play on my phone app as well as a little football field so you can keep up with where the ball is. If you are a sports fan for pretty much any sport, this is an awesome app. You can look up players, teams, etc. etc. The Score (free) - I keep this one as a backup for sports in case something is going on with Yahoo Sports where it isn't working. Fuel Monitor (free) - I keep up with how much gas mileage I get. This does other things but that is all I use it for. Trip Case (free) - if you travel at all, this is a nice app to have to keep up with your travel plans, hotels, rental car, flights, etc. TV Guide (free) - I use it to look up shows, when they will be on and what channel. I can also give myself reminders. I don't have a DVR so I don't record shows so the reminder is nice. I also have a lot of apps to be able to access my Credit Unions, banks, all financial accounts. I can use my phone to deposit checks to my checking account using my Credit Union app. News apps - choose your favorite news outlets and download their apps. You can set up most to send you push messages for important events. Weather Radio app - I have an awesome weather app that will give me warnings that I set up like tornado watch/warning, flash flood watch/warning, etc. It will do it based on my current location. I love having this when we are at the lake in case of bad weather. Lots of store apps to those stores that have app coupons.
So much more but that is a good start.

I love my IMDB app, because if I'm watching a movie and see someone familiar I MUST know what other movies they've been in. And I also love looking up movie trivia. I only have a 16g iPhone so I don't have enough storage space for all the apps I want. I need to be selective! But, here are the ones I have at the moment (I frequently delete those not in regular use):
Allrecipes Pinterest Shutterfly (love uploading my pics right from my phone) QVC Craigslist Pandora Instagram Wunderlist -- for making lists and you can share with family so they can add to the lists FLASHLIGHT -- love this and it gets used quite often PicTapGo DayOne - a journaling app Facebook Amazon Waterlogue - takes your photos and turns them into a watercolor print.

In addition to the ones already mentioned, here are some of my favorites: Grocery Gadget - You can scan items to add to list. With the paid version you can customize lists. Calendars 5 - My favorite calendar app Keeper - Securely stores your passwords Sale Price - Calculates sale prices Pandora - Stream music. I use it in my car. However, I have unlimited data. DD only uses it at home with wifi because she doesn't have unlimited data. TwoDots - fun game

Another voice for Evernote. I've been using it for years and would be lost without it. DH And I pay for the premium account and share it.

I also like shazam for identifying that song on the radio I can't figure out. You can also ask Siri to identify a song (and I believe she uses shazam).
Might be a little easier to use that way.

I didn't know that! I'll have to ask him (I use the male voice) sometime and check it out.
