True. I had to stop watching House Hunters International because of all the whiney Americans who complained that the kitchen wasn't "western enough" or big enough or whatever. Get over it, you're not in America. Off my soapbox.

I'm not sure if it's in our small million dollar budget.

Yep. The stairs may be too dangerous for the baby.

I haven't watched House Hunters in ages, and the picky/entitled attitude that comes across is one reason why.

I was really hoping this 150 year old farmhouse would look more modern.

I showed it to the turtles, but they didn't like it so I'll have to pass. ROFL...that was the episode that sent me over the edge with this show!

The entrance isnt grand enough. It needs to be grander, with 20ft ceilings.

Glad you like it, lovemybabes! I just wish I could make it bigger, but this is only the second photo I've posted, so I'm glad I got it in the thread on my first attempt. Wasn't there an episode about a Disney lover/Minnie Mouse collector a while back? There was something like that I heard about on the old board but could never find it online to watch. It sounded the worst house hunters ever, from the Peas' descriptions. I often can't help but think, "it's a beautiful house, but when I move my old furniture in here, it won't look this nice." I know some people can afford new furniture every time they get a new house, but most of us can't.

The Micky lover was going to LSU and the after segment showed her Micky collection all displayed. I think she chose a duplex or townhouse. The other two options had lots of Louisiana character so I knew she was going with the bland box. I stalked that episode forever before I was able to watch it. The old TWOP boards had some of the best HGTV and Food Network boards which is how I found out about that episode. Also used to live, love, love Buy Me.

My college son has worked on the production crew a couple times when they've filmed here. He says the producers really encourage the negative stuff, and they film the critique scenes over and over with lots of coaching.
The problem is the dumbos at home who believe these are realistic expectations and are now making realtors' lives nightmares.
"But I don't like the paint color!" is my hands-down favorite.

I was watching the Hong Kong episode the other day. I didn't hear a thing that lady was demanding from her realtor for some reason.
