love them?
I'm currently with Geico, but I need new insurance because I've moved and my new state requires it. I'm more than happy with Geico and would stay with them, but wondering what else is out there? I have life insurance with State Farm and am also very happy with them.

We've had State Farm since 1990 and have never had anything to complain. We've always had our auto insurance with them, and depending on where we've lived, either homeowners or renters coverage. Plus extra coverage for some jewelry.

Allstate since 1986 or so. They have been great, reliable and easy to work with when we have had a claim.

I have geico. I had progressive for a while but last time I renewed they hiked the rates by over $100 on a $300 policy without having any changes (accudent, tickets, etc.) so I went to geico. I have never had a claim on my own policy but I was rear ended a few months ago and that person had progressive. The claims rep was terrible and is still calling me, at random hours (9:30 pm last night) for some reason.

We have had State Farm for the last 3 years and have no complaints. Homeowners insurance is through them as well.

We have Farm Bureau. They are the only ones we have ever used. No one else can touch their pricing for us.

We've had Liberty Mutual for the last 20 years, and haven't had any complaints about them. We haven't had any claims on the auto side, but did once have to file a claim for roof damage, and they were super easy to work with there. Every time I have to call them for some reason, they always look over our policy and make sure we're getting the best deal. This was super helpful when we recently added a vehicle and a teen driver.

We have USAA for home, auto, and a floater policy. We've had 2 large homeowner's claims (roof and a basement flood) and now an auto claim for a not at fault accident. They're a dream to deal with.

I've had USAA auto for 28 years and home insurance for about 20. I don't have any complaints. As a matter of fact, we may try using them for purchasing a vehicle. I absolutely despise negotiating and if they can make the process simple and fair then they get a chance! If I could use them for all of my banking then I would, but we need a local building to work with.

We've switched back and forth between State Farm and USAA for the past 26 years. Often, if we have our homeowner's insurance with them, we get a discount, so we switch that, too. We've filed claims with both (for auto and home) and have had no complaints.

So does your state not allow you to be insured by Geico insurance? That's who I have and love them.

Dad enrolled me in USAA as soon as I began driving. When DH and I married, we considered switching to see if we could get cheaper rates. My FIL owned an insurance company and told DH and I never to drop USAA. He said that we MIGHT find another company that was cheaper, but we'd never find one with better coverage or that was easier to work with.

We base who we have insurance through on how they handle claims. Since DH worked with insurance companies for many years trying to get peoples cars fixed, he knows much more about it than most of the people with the insurance. Many times, the consumer has no idea the hassle a shop goes through with some companies. We are with State Farm. They are huge in our area and are pretty good at taking care of their customers. If we change, we will go to usaa first. We will not go with either geico or progressive.

We have USAA for everything except life insurance but only because we got that before we opened our USAA acct. They are very easy to work with and I have no complaints. I like getting the refund check back each year at Christmas time!

I like getting the refund check back each year at Christmas time! Why does USAA give you a refund check each year? Can I ask is it a little or a nice chunk? Insurance is so expensive and it would be nice to be rewarded for being a good driver. I have seen commercials, I think allstate, that talks about refunds.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk No, I have to have insurance by an agent in the state--my agent lives 1,000 miles away and apparently isn't willing to relocate, ha. I'm on a joint insurance plan with another family member who lives out of state and Geico said I can't transfer the plan--I need a new one. No biggie, but if I can get a better rate with another company, I'm willing to go with that company.

We also have USAA. Auto for 26 years, renters insurance for 24 years. We have had two claims and have never had an issue. When our basement flooded two years ago, they were ready to cut a check the next day until they could get an inspector out.
If they have a year with fewer claims than estimated, they will refund a percentage of your premiums. It's usually about $200 for us, but we only have 2 cars and renters insurance, as we are still active duty and only rent. One year was only about $100, and the year that Opal? Hit Florida, we didn't get anything. But most years it's about $200 and we pay about $1500 a year, but that purely an estimate without looking at my statement. Both kids are eligible to be members because of DH's service.

We had Liberty Mutual for the first 20 years of our marriage, mainly because that was who dh had his auto policy with when we got married. (We also used them for our homeowners had some household repairs after Sandy and I was impressed with how quickly they came out and processed our claim).
Then our oldest was added to our auto policy, and we experienced sticker shock. I finally got around to investigating USAA (I'm eligible due to my dad's service) and it was a significant savings. We also switched over our homeowners policy because it was more affordable as well.
With less than a year with USAA, we had two claims (after 20 years of no auto claims with Liberty Mutual!) and I was extremely impressed with how smoothly everything was handled.

I have Wawanesa. I recently looked into USAA, but their rates are significantly higher than what I'm currently paying. I have had the same insurance for about 10 years. I have never filed a claim, so I have no idea how they are when it comes to filing a claim.

I have GEICO. I had State Farm for about a month years and years ago (college) but was told I was dropped because my brother who lived at the same address had had a previous car accident. It wasn't even the same car. I thought that was a little weird but it was their right.

State Farm. We have multiple discounts because we have all our cars, our home, our umbrella policy, etc. Recently DS started riding the train to work so they are going to lower his already low premium because he isn't driving as many miles as he used to.

Automobile Club (of Southern Cali). Was with them for 6 years then tried Geico and immediately switched back.
Eta: we also get a refund check. This is because your apr rate is set and if you pay on time every month you get a refund because the rate is set higher and it always drops. We get between $30-60 back. Once I got $75 back.
I love them because
1. Offices around town 2. Friendly phone calls 3. Full coverage plus extras for great rate 4. Only pay 9 months of the year so 3 months no payment! 5. Discounts with membership 6. Quick help for repairs 7. When my new van was hit, I had a check in 3 days for new booster seats for the kids

We have State Farm. Why? because my husband used them when we got together. I didn't have a car at the time so I didn't have insurance. He has been with them since 1993. We have rates that are too good to be true and if we were to change companies we would be paying about 3 times what we pay now.
I looked into other insurance companies when we moved down here and all quoted me triple what we paid then. We have full coverage on both our vehicles and compared to the other companies we would be paying more than what we pay for full coverage just for liability. I don't think we will ever change companies. plus we have a good drivers reward each year.

NJM - but they are only in NJ/PA. Rates are much much lower than anywhere else and they send us a dividend check each year, making our overall payments even lower. We recently decided to seek quotes from other companies, but when we told them what insurance we already had, the other companies told us there was no way they could come close to our current rates and didn't bother to send us a quote.
before this we had Allstate for 10 yrs or so - hated dealing with them.

State Farm, been with them forever. We switched to Geico for 2 years, but then they wanted to drop DH from the policy. He hadn't had tickets or any accidents, so we aren't sure why. So we switched back to State Farm

JustKim -We get a refund check based on what their year end profit margins look like and decided by the board of directors. It is really called a dividend. I only receive it for auto insurance. I have never gone a year without a 'refund' including the the year we had a claim. I've had USAA for 20+ years. My refund was about $200 last year. You do have to be eligible to have USAA insurance though -unless they've changed the rules. I am eligible through my dad as his dependent.
