I have a USB port inside my center console and that is where I've kept an old iPod plugged in. I use my touch screen to "select source" and can choose any variety of options for music, including iPod.
I've had my new car since mid April, and up until now, it's worked like a charm.
Yesterday, I selected iPod and I got the message on my screen "No Device Detected".
I've unplugged it, and replugged it in. I've tried using other USB ports in the car. I've used a different iPod AND cord.
Any ideas of what I can do to make all things right again?
(I've added it to my list of things to ask about when I take it for service for the first time...I just hit 1,000 miles)

Powercycle the iPod. Sometimes just doing that makes it visible again.

You may need an update with your car dealer. I run into that every once in awhile. I take the car in, wait, they update and life is good.
The dealerships don't seem to have a system to let us know when their software needs updating.

can you synch it via bluetooth? I'm not sure about this. I'm new to Bluetooth as well and I don't want to end up breaking two "systems" in the car. I'll ask my DH if this can be done. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have a 2014 Mazda and it did the same thing. You should call the 800 for Bluetooth services and they will give you a code to provide the dealership who can then do the repair.
