I don't have summers off, but I have major flexibility with my job, so I'm lucky. I want to: - Go on a 2 day (at least) hike, camping overnight within. - go on a 2-3 night tent camping trip - learn to kayak (I think I have a buddy lined up for this) - hike - day trip somewhere fun with my kids - read 8 books (random goal) - get another tattoo - hike some more - camp again - go on family picnics - eat lots of s'mores - visit a couple friends I don't see often enough - hike Mostly outdoor things for me this summer

For me it is just cleaning and organizing to prepare to move my daughters room and then convert her room into a nursery. Trying to use this 2nd trimester energy well. Lol

I'd like to say that I want to pick strawberries and go to drive in movies and outdoor concerts, but I'm so not looking forward to doing much outside 8 months pregnant. These are all things I do as much as possible of in the summer.
The only thing really on my list is to finish up the babies room...make friends with as many people I can find who have pools and meet my son! We also have a really cheap movie theater by our house and they crank the A/C so I may go there for $3.00 and soak up their cold blast!

For the illness that has descended on our house to finally go away.
I've had terrible respiratory and sinus issues for a month.
My little pup has bronchitis and I am so tired of shoving pills down his throat. He's now terrified of me. He's barely eating and will only eat when my husband is home, because he dreads me so much. It breaks my heart because I have always been his person.
This morning my older kitten started throwing up. It isn't horrible. We have been through much worse with her. But, she is obviously not feeling well. Thankfully, she has kept some water down for two hours and wants to eat. I'm being very careful with the amounts she taking in.
Secondly, I am hoping to do well enough to earn an A in Biology. It's fascinating. I hope I am up to the challenge of this class.
We won't be going anywhere, as we have a new kitten. She's only 8 weeks old.
(Yes. I'm the slacker that needs to post kitten pics. Now, it is the pics of 2 kittens.)

I always write a summer fun list for our family, and just started this years list.
It always includes some traditions like go to drive in movie, play with sparklers, go to concert in the park, run thru sprinklers, go on a hike, go on a picnic, make giant bubbles, etc...
There's several arts and crafts- simple things I've pinned.
I also do several food things: make lemonade, have s'mores, make ice cream, have fondue for dinner, each kid plans and makes and entire meal, etc...
We always read books aloud. Often we read a classic and then watch the movie if there is one. We've done Mary poplins, wizard of is, James and giant peach, Matilda, and a few others. I've picked The Search for Wondla to start with this summer.
We have a few acts of service: pick up litter at park near our house, draw pics and take to nursing home, help elderly gma with flower garden, etc...
I don't add our vacations, but might add a couple vacation- specific items like go to the top of the Space Needle, etc...
Its a fun system and gives my girls things to look forward to and also pick items from if bored. Some things I'll have to buy ingredients or supplies for, but most things are on hand and easily doable. So excited for school to be out.

I've got a nice list going - visiting a friend's cottage in Newfoundland for 4 days (watching icebergs, kayaking, whale watching, wine tasting) (JULY) -my dh and son will be joining me in Newfoundland to camp, hike and kayak for a week. (JULY) - I promised an old friend that I would take her kayaking along the Grand River about 45 minutes from here. (JUNE or early JULY) -a bicycling wine tour in Niagara. I may take my dd as she will be legal drinking age and I'm turning 50. Both our birthdays are 3 days apart -a wine tour of another region not far from me. One of my university dorm mates owns a winery and makes fruit wines. Can't wait. -I'd love to try standup paddleboard yoga. That may be in August. -Finish my second master gardener course (hopefully by the end of June but I do have until August) -lots of bike riding -1/2 marathon (next week) On the not so fun side: I need to clean out the closets and declutter the basement
