Ahhh... Last day of school was yesterday and my classroom is almost completely packed for the summer. I'm working on a few lists - books to read, crafts to do, places to go... What's on your list?
So far - some more exciting than others - - Take a craftsy class - Organize and purge scrapbooking stuff - Organize and purge teaching stuff - Organize files on my google drive - yikes!!! - A LOT of pool time - I'd love to take a day trip to the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame - Possible quick jaunt to DC
What about you?

Well I don't have summers off but I do have plans for Vegas in July. I have been away from reading for the last several months and just now started reading again so I see a lot of reading (and not a lot of house cleaning) in my future!

Here are a few of my summer bucket list things that I can start crossing off when I'm done on June 9th: *Pick Strawberries *Make Homemade ice cream *Drive-in Movie *Learn to crochet *Dinner with college friends *Re-read the Little House on the Prairie and Harry Potter series *Have friends over for BBQ's, swimming, bonfires and s'mores *Learn 5 new recipes Plus, a bunch of local places that we want to go (and many have had Groupons--bonus!) I keep an ongoing document with Google docs that I can update as I think of things! It's currently two pages!

Road trip!!! SW Florida to Oregon to welcome our grandson into the world. There will be several stops at state and national parks along the way, maybe a stop in Vegas on the way back. We'll stay with them for a month to help and thoroughly spoil the new baby and our granddaughter. I cannot wait.

Reading, hiking with the dogs (and maybe, just maybe I'll let some people tag along), Fish and Chips at the beach, Gelato, A day at Steveston (where OUAT is filmed & they sell the best dill pickles), and ending with a trip to Disneyland with DD (where they also have good dill pickles!).
I don't have the whole summer off or anything but I do have a few extra long weekends and 1 week in July and 1 in August (Disney!)

I didn't think I would have much until I looked at others lists and really started thinking about it.
1) Organize and purge scrapbooking stuff 2) Organize and purge teaching stuff 3) Organize my work room, which will be pretty easy after I do 1 & 2. 4) Organize files on my computer and google drive 5) Read at least one book a week. 6) Reorganize kitchen cupboards

An old, old friend of mine and I re-connected a few years ago on Facebook. Even though she lives 3 hours away from where I moved to, I found out she has a cottage up here about an hour away. She spends all summer there, and has invited me several times. So far, I have not gone. This summer, I absolutely will do my best to get up there and visit her at her cottage!

I wish to rollerblade. Last time I was at the dr I asked about it. I asked if he thought I could do it in August. His comment was, " well, maybe in January". So, that's out I guess until summer of 2016 as I live in NE IL.
Seriously, at this point I'll be thrilled if I can workout again. I had foot surgery at the beginning of May. I'm in an aircast 24/7 until at least July. It's been icky enough, but I've also been sleeping in our recliner since the surgery as steps just aren't a real good thing.
So, I am hoping to go outside and sit on our glider without having to have someone help me get out and get back into the house!!

See another son graduate from Navy basic training in August (he leaves for basic in about a week) and then enjoy some time with the one that's already in (3-1/2 years now) before his ship deploys in September.
There's more going on this summer but that's what is important to me right now.

Going to a big crop in July. Going to CKC in August (staying all 3 days to have the full convention experience of shopping, cropping, and classes). A few weekend daytrips to the beach and Moody Gardens in Galveston. A weekend with the inlaws at their place in the country. Local 4th of July carnival and fireworks. Redecorate both bathrooms. Reorganize my craft room / spare bedroom to prepare for a houseguest in September. Work on a lot of sewing projects. Spend a lot of time at the pool. See some movies. Read some books. DBF wants to try our hand with home brewing or home wine making. We're also doing a miracle berry "flavor tripping" tasting party (just us, not a real party). Something fun for my birthday, don't know what yet, depends on the weather that week.

A week in June with my 90 yo Mom and my sibs in NY. We're seeing a B'way play, spending a couple of days at my bro's beach cottage on LI, and lots of eating, talking and drinking wine!
A quick road trip to Utah Valley to see Dh's family and some friends. And the mountains of course, I still miss them!
Chores include purging/cleaning closets, painting my back room where my scrap space is located, and reorganizing my craft supplies. Did a big purge last year but it needs more.
Play music and sing, read lots of books, and scrap a little.

I have a week off from work AND school in August, so DH and I are going to Chicago to tour the city and see the Blue Angels at the Air and Water show. We've both been to the Chicago airports a number of times, but we've never had the time to check out the city. Looking forward to it!

We still have about 3 weeks left of school For the kids. I'm considering planning some STEM activity playdate for my mom's club. Our anniversary is in July so DH and I are planning a short getaway to a local beach town. Hoping to get a hot air balloon ride that I've been wanting to do for a while.

If DH and I have at least 3 days off in a row together this summer I want to take a spontaneous camping trip somewhere, maybe Stone Mt, NC.
Find out if we can qualify for a home loan, if so then we will be moving, possibly building a house.
Go to a drive in movie, there's one about 1.5 hours from our house that has nightly double features.
Movie on the beach... on Oct 21 they're Showing Back to the Future (10.21.15) is the date that Marty went to in the movie.

I'm taking DD on a road trip (just the two of us) in July while we're back in the PNW visiting my family. We'll be spending a week in Oregon, so I hope to take DD to Mt St Helens (on the way there), Mt Hood, Multnomah Falls, VooDoo Doughnuts (priorities, people), and the coast. Cannon Beach or Tillamook or Astoria or something.
I'd like to clear a few more books off my bookshelf.
And I have a few fitness-related goals I want to work on. Mostly skill work.
