We had plans for tonight and they fell through so now we're thinking we should go to the Rolling Stones concert in town...it's been sold out for ages but people always have tickets right? I figure worst case scenario we don't find any and enjoy some people watching and tailgating and then we can find something else to get into.
Anyone ever had luck? Cross your fingers for me!

I think it depends on how much you want to pay. Although I did luck out at a sold-out football game one time a man came even though his wife was home sick and he saw me with my hand up looking for ticket. He gave me a ticket on the 50 yard line.!

If the tickets were for sale online.... Via Ticket Master, You should check online. You might be surprised. Our daughter wanted to see "Hannah Montana" quite a few yrs ago, Tickets sold out in like 30 mins when they went on sale. The day of the concert I was prepared to meet someone in a dark alley, she wanted to go that bad. I got online just to check and they had opened a bunch of tickets that were on hold for some other ticket outlet. We ended up getting great seats!

Steph, After doing some checking.... There are seats available, I just checked ticketmaster, they have seats open that range in price to $40 to $425! I picked middle of the road, and it shows they have 2 available.

Seats are always held for the production people, the band, waiting to see how much space is need for floor configuration and a few hours, sometimes the day before, the seats are released. I got my daughter a pair to a sold out Carrie Underwood concert, in seats on the floor closer than her friend who bought them the first day. I got seats just rows from the stage for Trans Siberian orchestra. I have a few other times that I played a waiting game and just got lucky. You will never know until you check AND then you have the people who at the last minute just can't make the event though you need to be careful with who you buy from if you are not dealing with a reputable company. Hey, good luck. Hope we see a post about the concert tomorrow:0

I'd check Stub Hub and Craig's List first. There are almost always tickets available right up to concert time - good luck! ETA Didn't think Ticketmaster would still have some, but definitely go there first

We went to Boston to see Paul McCartney with no tickets and a sold out show. Walked into the box office the day of the show, they'd just opened up some seats, and got some great ones. Walked out of the ticket office and ran into...Paul McCartney coming by in his limo, who spoke to me and gave me a thumbs up. Give it a shot!

I got one for a show my kids saw in Vegas. I didn't think I'd want to go but there wasn't really much to do around the venue. I paid over retail but still got to see the show.
