I've recently seen some posts and videos about the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and have been wondering if they might be right for me. Does anyone here have them and love them?

No, but I'm eyeing them! They are NOT something I need. I have (cheap) watercolour pencils and (expensive) watercolours. I have copics. Why would I need watercolour markers? But they look like fun if you like to watercolour or make cards a lot.

Now that I googled, I realized I saw Jennifer McGuire using these. They look like a lot of coloring fun. Don't have any, though.

I don't have them ... yet!! I saw a few videos and fell right into the "I have to have them" mindset so I ordered some from Amazon but haven't received them yet. Do I need them? Absolutely not, but they look awesome, and before I knew it, they were in my cart and now are on the way!

Has anyone found a chart or list of what colours are included in the different sets? In particular, I'd like to know what's in the set of 24... I can't find a chart, and I haven't even been able to find a picture of the set that shows more the one row (12) of the markers in their package... Don't want to buy a set if buying them individually gets me more of what I want... TIA

I also have them sitting in a shopping basket waiting to be purchased! I haven't given in yet, but I can feel myself weakening...

I took her data and turned them into a little table... see attached. Hopefully I made no mistakes. I used that to decide which set to buy too (and which ones to just try to pick up individually later). It's my birthday soon, so I figured I've earned it.

Interesting! Hadn't heard of these. Do love my copics though.

These are the it item in one of my stamping groups! So far I've resisted and I'm going to try to stay strong and not buy them!
Those that have them love them though!

Based on all the videos, yes and yes! I have the set of 24 on order ... should be here soon, they are coming from Japan and shipped 8-9 days ago. By all accounts they are taking 10-14 days once shipped from Japan.

I have 2.5 Zig markers. 1.5 brown ones as a poodle puppy ate the fine tip off the first one. Thanks dude. Then bought a reddish pink one. Love them all!

I am rather heavily invested in kopecks, so I am resisting the temptation to buy something else. I do enjoy coloring with my cup it's

I have the set of 12 on order after watching Jennifer's videos. I never succumbed to the Copics craze. I tried some at a friends house and really didn't like them at all. These are very different than Copics on my mind.

I've had these Zigs a few days now (my order got here from Japan, yay). They blend exceptionally well pen to paper IMO, demonstrably better than the Tombows that I've been using for a long time, which up until now were better than any other wc marker I've tried (like distress markers, mementos, etc.). There are a few tricks to them, of course, like laying down the color and getting the water in quickly, and sticking to thicker cold press over hot press (hot press sops them up faster, counterintuitively), but I'm really impressed and feeling silly that I got only 54 of them. These are good enough that they've basically moved to my top marker spot and now permanently live on my desk. And really, it's not the real brush that makes them awesome, although the brush is nice and handy for tiny images -- it's the pen-to-paper ink blendability that just blows everything else away. My Tombows are about to be so neglected! The Zigs are watercolor markers, so they don't exactly compare to an alcohol marker like a Copic, but I will say that the color lay down is pretty vibrant and quick (richer than Tombows post-water). It'll be less rich and more translucent/blotchy than a Copic and does require watercolor paper, but it takes significantly less time to cover an image's area and blend it out with Zigs than with Copics -- we're talking a few seconds compared to several minutes for a small image. If you guys remember the Chameleon pens, it's basically getting the same effect from a single pen without any of the fuss/time/smell/bleed. The Zigs are cheaper short-term and more expensive long-term because they can't be refilled cheaply like Copics, but you'd normally need several Copics to perform the same color gradient a single Zig can do, so that works out. I did get my extras from Ellen Hutson, so I'd say if you're interested, get like 2-3 open stock colors that you think will blend together well, and pick them from the 20 that aren't in a set just in case you decide to go for the whole shebang. Then when you do get the whole shebang because you probably will ( ), watch prices on Amazon and get it shipped to you from Japan. You'll pay under $2 a marker that way compared to the insanely high prices on the boutique vendors in the states.

You take eme back to the 90's lol! I remember they were sooo hot! And I had a huge set that I saved and saved for forever (single mom, no support, tight budget) and who knows what I did with them? Maybe they dried up and I dumped them? No idea.
I'm sure the knew stuff is different but oh I remember how hot there in the 90's!

Thank you so much OP for posting this thread! I hadn't heard anything about them until I read this thread and I eagerly watched all of the Jennifer McGuire videos-I love her videos, her voice is concise and easy to listen to. I could listen to her all day So-this is where procrastination and having a tight budget comes in handy. I never got into Copics. I've enjoyed watercoloring on cards with watercolor pencils but I only had a 12 color set. I've been dragging my feet considering whether to order Tombow markers or a larger watercolor pencil set. I have the money saved, but something was holding me back. Now I know what it was-the Universe was telling me to wait for these I love the idea of these markers! They are perfect! I can't wait to order them and I'm going for the 60 color set (a belated birthday present). And darn it-I'm having rotator cuff surgery on Wednesday so I won't be able to use my right shoulder (and I'm right handed) for 5-6 weeks. Talk about bad timing. But all good things come to those who wait. I'll just wait a wee bit longer Debbie in MD.

Thanks Lovestocreate, the surgery went very well and I'm learning how to type with my left hand. Who knows, maybe by the time I'm out of this sling in 4-6 weeks I'll be watercoloring with the markers with my left hand? That would be cool! And most likely impossible Have you gotten yours yet? I noticed the price went up on Amazon on the 60 marker set from 135 to 150 just since the last time I posted. I'm waiting on my tax refund. Debbie in MD.

Glad your surgery went well! I haven't committed to the Zigs yet. I think I'll need to try one before I jump into a big set. I did pick up some watercolor pencils and an aqua brush for now and I'm liking them so far!
