I'm a SAHM that works VERY part-time (is that an oxymoron?) at an in-home daycare. I only work 1 day a week for 5 hours. This school year (we only take teacher's children so we have all vacations off) I worked 2 days for 5 hours each day but next year my schedule is changing to just 1 day per week and that's what I'm working until the end of the year. My dh works for a large computer company as a Principle Software Engineer in the storage division. He troubleshoots problems, writes scripts for testing, and is also a lead. He's only been with that company for 4 years. His previous employer he was with for 13 years.

My husband is the business manager for a local agricultural machinery company.
I am a legal education worker for a community legal centre. I love my job, I get to talk for a living LOL. I attend community events with information about our service and common legal issues and also deliver education sessions on particular topics to groups like schools (sexting, sex and the law, healthy relationships) and older people (wills for example).
I work 2.5 days a week and the job is very flexible. I have been also doing some financial counselling as my larger organisation had a part-time gap they needed filling for 12 months. They had difficulty recruiting anyone as it wasn't an ongoing position.

I am a recruiter/project manager for a company that provides outsourced recruitment services to other companies. I've worked for my company since 2006, and when we moved from NJ to CA in 2009, they let me keep my job and just work from home. I work largely east coast hours (starting at 6am PST), but it's great because I'm usually done with work by the time DD gets home from school.
DH is an electrical engineer who specializes in audio software. He's currently he head of software development for a company that makes some pretty cool audio devices.

I do general labour in a warehouse that multi-packs products and builds store displays. It's just a minimum wage job, but when I went back to work after being a SAHM for 14 years, I did not want to go back to retail. I love the hours, 7-3, Monday to Friday.
Dh is a plumber, doing mostly commercial and industrial.

I've been a sahm for 16 years. If all goes as planned, college student this fall. My LH was a K9 officer. My 16yo dd is considering getting a part-time job, but she would like to have her license first. The thought of me driving her around isn't appealing I guess.

My husband is in management for a large company, and I work as an intern (hopefully to be full time by the fall) at a metal mine in the health and safety department. I'm also a full time graduate student, my master's is in Environmental science and occupational health. Which is why working in safety at a mine is so perfect.

My DH is a Quality Manager at a metal stamping plant. They produce parts for larger trucks - so automotive, but more trucking industry (I think). Does anybody else not really know exactly WHAT their DH's job entails? LOL I know he was responsible for getting the plant their QS9000 certification.
I'm a cake designer. I work from a commercial kitchen in my basement. I have a separate entrance to my studio, so it isn't like people are coming to my front door for pick-up. Totally separate!

DH is in the national sales department of the company where he has worked for 23 years selling buildings you would typically see in industrial applications. Factories, schools, large churches, large retail spaces, etc.
For the past two years I have been the office manager of a real estate agency. I have always done "something" but was essentially a stay at home mom as DHs job requires a lot of travel, we have four kids and we don't live near family. Somebody needed to be the boots on the ground but I'm not good at not being busy. While the kids were younger I volunteered a ton then once our youngest was in school full time decided to look for something more but still very flexible. My sister says I get paid to be entertained-the people I work for are awesome!

I work part time in a high end dress shop and love it for the most part. My exDH is an engineer who designs machines that do industrial calculations. He works on bridges, sports complexes, moves not destroys buildings, etc. DSO is retired.
Before that I taught English in Japan in my own school. I hated working for other people so I started my own school with a friend. She had family responsibilities and had to leave the business so I ran it on my own. It wasn't super big, just 100 students or so, but it was big enough. Then after DS was born I cut back to just 5 hours a week. I needed help with the business, and exDH being the asshat he is wouldn't help me so I left him and Japan behind.
I also worked for the provincial government in property assessment and then human resources. It was fun, but the politics got old after a while.
I am having fun now.

I am a retired RN, worked for 20 years in a Neonatal ICU. Prior to that, worked in Med-Surg at the local community hospital. I still hold my license, but don't think I want to work again!
DH worked on the pipeline when we met 47 years ago, then worked at the local hardware store, then went back to pipelining. He is semi-retired now.
Love our pipelining, "gypsy" lifestyle!

DH works in encryption for a major computer company. I've done all sorts of things. Worked in a research lab, then stayed home with my kids, then taught preschool workshops at a children's museum (very part time), then was a writer and event coordinator for a local parenting magazine. THIS MONTH I am opening up my own business. Its a drop-in crafting studio with projects for kids and parents, preschool and elementary school workshop, birthday parties and moms night out classes. Shaking in my shoes because we open in 3 weeks!
