I bought both those sets too. was a great deal they were. I'm going to give about 1/2 away and use the rest on upcoming projects.

Were they marked with clearance prices or did they just ring up unexpectedly on sale?

I also saw PL kits-the smaller ones-on clearance at my local Hobby Lobby. Not sure if it's the same at all of them but may be worth checking out.
