I couldn't get past the idea that it was a mother/daughter store and they sold a t-shirt that says f$$k the noise. No matter how old my kid gets I wouldn't be happy if they wore a shirt with that word. I was just coming to comment on that shirt! I mean, I say f*ck way too much, but I wouldn't buy a shirt that says it to wear in public (or at home for that matter) and I would damn sure not buy one for my daughter! same here. according to their FB page, the caption with the daugther wearing the shirt (under a sweater) says "Maybe you don't want to wear this shirt on the outside...we like to wear it under our sweaters. And tell ourselves all day to Dump the Mind Trash. Don't listen to all that noise. #webk #weblowkisses

It doesn't come as a shock to me that it wasn't successful. Kristina, to me, isn't the greatest business woman. Yes, she had a popular website. She can spot a trend and market it. But her business sense otherwise sucked and she proved that time and time again. I think as scrapbookers we were a little lax in expecting these businesses to actually operate like other businesses "in the real world."I still see this too often in scrapbooking To me it feels like it makes women less than capable of being business women when we give them a pass because they are just . . . insert typical saying indicating the customers are supposed to just suck up the bad quality or customer service because it's just a mom or woman trying to make it in business Most recently I've heard this regarding the stamping tool that has been cracking and has had customer service issues. Rereading this, it doesn't convey what I was actually thinking. I completely agree with you. I meant more of we were OK with accepting poor business practices when we should not have. We accepted poor business practices because they were in a way our friends who shared our passion when we should have been looking at it as a regular business just like any other.

Interesting. I did like their wood veneers; just used some this week on a LO that I bought before the 2Peas store officially closed. Wish I could find something similar to them, so I could buy more. I don't know what kind of wood veneers they sold in the store - would these from Lee Valley be similar? Coloured veneers and domestic and exotic veneers

roundtwo , the veneers sold in Scrapbook stores are typically cut in shapes, letters etc. The Twopeas ones were the size of 3 x4 cards and had cute phrases, ampersands etc. The other place that may make them would be the GG Scrappy Jedi. Star & Bee I think?

Star & Bee I think? Ah got it! Just out of curiousity, because I have a whole bunch of business card size pieces of veneer, can veneer be stamped with just regular old ink and stamps? Ooooo, could it be cut with punches? Of course, if I would get off the computer, I could go try it myself ETA: KikiPea, I like that layout and the card is very cool! As above, did you stamp it or was it already stamped?

Shimelle has shown that they can be stamped, but with the right type of ink (I can't remember what type). If the wrong type is used, the ink will bleed.

KikiPea, thanks for the info!! I'm going to check out the details and maybe actually use one of the 100 or so cards I have that are patiently waiting for a purpose!
