I know better than this, I have a couple of friends who sell stuff, and I'm at a point where I can buy what I need from them without the dreaded party. I've actually used Jamberry, and like the product. I commented on a post this person made on FB and am now hosting a FB party. Honestly it's the only type of party I'll host as I know people can just ignore the invite if they're not interested.
yeah, I keep thinking "the special hell" but I promise, I don't talk at the theatre.

Well, if you like the product you are ahead of the game  The only party I would consider would be Pampered Chef and I'm in no hurry to do that  Good luck with yours  |

I thought they were stickers for your nails? At least around here they're never advertised as dried nail polish strips. Especially given that they have all sorts of designs, not sure how they could achieve that with nail polish? I bought a few sheets but they're not really my thing. I prefer my nails to be pretty simple. But different strokes for different folks. |

Sally Hansen makes some dried nail polish strips. They smell like nail polish when you open them. They can smudge from the time you open them until the time they set. You apply them by just pressing them on your nail. You can remove them with nail polish. Jams, on the other hand, are made out of a proprietary blend of thin, vinyl like plastic. They are coated with a heat activated adhesive. They will not smudge, do not smell like nail polish, and cannot be removed with nail polish remover. The require heat and pressure to apply. |

Do your nails get "funky" under there if you wear them a long time? I can't wear nail polish on my hands, it's chipped by the time I get the top back on the bottle. And when I do get it to stay on (lots of touch ups) my nails are so dry and brittle (even with the "better" polishes) they break for at least a month after I take it off again.

You get them off with heat and by gently rubbing the strip off. You can also use heat with nail oil or baby oil to remove them. They last about 2 weeks on most people, but i am sure it depends on your level of activity and how well the application process was.
Your nails do not get funky underneath.
Jamberry also sells nail lacquer and when I tried it, I really liked it. It last longer on my nails than a regular manicure using opi polish, etc.

I like the colors they offer, and have found them to last about 2 weeks as well. My nails didn't look abused, or break after removing the strips which they promptly did when I took off the Sally faux gel stuff. One tip, don't try to seal them with an embossing gun, it gets too hot. I saw they had nail lacquer when I was looking at their designs but one of the things I like about the product is it will take a fair amount of abuse without coming off, I rarely paint my nails for this very reason, they just chip too easily. |

I just started to sell Jamberry nails this past month. The dreaded FB party will take just a few minutes of your time daily. I did one before I started to sell..... And it went so well that I earned a TON of wraps. I was approached to sell but refused. Within the next 2 weeks I was asked no less then six times if I sold them. I took it as a sign from God my first month just closed and I'm rocking along nicely! MyShelly....... (Sorry I didn't use quote feature) the best way to remove the nail wrap ( which is a thin sheet of decorated vinyl) is to soak nails in polish remover for 20-30 seconds. The glue loses the sticky residue and the wrap slides right off. The best way to get extra wear out of the nail is heat, apply, file off the extra and then use the Baggie method. Both hands should take about 30 minutes max. I hope you end up having fun. And it's nice that your helping a friend!! |

Good for you Leslie, I honestly do like the product and use it I just hate asking people I know to do stuff like this. The ONLY time I do it is for girl scout cookies, and even then I try to keep the ask to a minimum. She's sending me catalogs so we'll see where it goes from here.

Well I will say this......I hate asking people as well. That is why I'm the least pushy seller you would meet.
I had the party on FB and then made it a reason for a girls day. When everyone's order came in I made a lunch. I invited everyone who ordered to come over for food and fun and we sat there, ate, and did nails for 2 hours. Everyone was laughing and swapping wraps. It was so nice to have girl time that was totally relaxing. So the one girl who had the party for me, kind of did the same. It made the whole feeling pushy feeling (at least for me) go away. It just became another way to enjoy each other.
I must make some people feel comfy. I barely know what I'm doing and I've had 2 people sign up with me. I'm being promoted and I don't quite know why or to what. I just know I'm doing something girly and it's all for "fun me time"!
If you like colors I have to recommend Chameleon. It is the one I did today. LOVE IT!!
