Happy National Running Day to my fellow runners. I'm going to run five miles today. What are your plans? I can't think of a more perfect day to start running. I used the couch to 5K program about five years ago and starting next week I will be training for my fifth marathon. I'm slow but I don't care about that. Running has toned my legs, lowered my resting heart rate and is the best stress reliever I know. Couch to 5K

I'm planning to meet up with my girlfriends later for a quick 4-5 at a trail near my house. It is a perfect day for running! I also started with the C25K, and I couldn't be more happy I joined this crazy "tribe." I have met lifelong friends and gotten myself healthy in the process.

I'll be logging my 5 miles today, too. I don't do races or anything, but for me running is the most surefire what to control my weight and increase energy & mood. Even after all these years, I still don't love it... but I love what it does for me.

I don't run over 3.5 miles since slowly recovering from a recurring IT band injury, but I am very grateful to have recovered enough just to do that. Thanks for the heads up, today should be perfect weather for a run!

I'm sidelined from running until my steroid treatments are done, but I just got back from a 2 mile walk and will try to get another one in.

I'd definitely be heading out for a run if we didn't have a forecast of thunderstorms throughout the day.
I'm not fast and I don't go far. I don't love it, but I'm grateful that I can do it. It's the best way I know of to clear my head when I'm stressed out or anxious. And I always reward myself with an ice cold beer after my evening runs. That's my favorite part.

I'm running three today. I've picked a half marathon for this Fall and keep forgetting when my actual training schedule starts. I should figure that out soon.
This is my 37th year of running and I don't think I could live without it. I truly hope I never have to.

I'll be doing 4. It's my last run before my team's annual 50mi relay run on Saturday during which I'll have two 4-mile legs. I've been working through some back and piriformis issues, so it won't be pretty (my part) but we have a ton of fun!

I will only run if something is chasing me and even then, they will catch me. Plus, I have a huge chest and there isn't a bra in the universe that can take that kind of pressure!

I don't run, due to my back problems, but wish I could. Right now I'm trying to walk 5K.

I did 3 this morning. I should have done 5 today but I'm not feeling very well. Starting on Friday, ds will be training for soccer and we'll run at the same time; since he's so much faster, I'll probably only have enough time to do 3 mile runs for the rest of the summer. I don't think he'll have the patience to wait for me to slog out longer runs.

Only a half mile run (boot camp warm up) for me and thank goodness my trainer didn't realize what day it was - he surely would have made us run a whole lot more.
