LOL I saw that on Facebook this morning - I LOVE it.... I'm still pissed I never bought the Harry Potter castle set...but it was insane expensive! My dd became obsessed with Harry Potter everything about a year ago. She asked last year for the Lego Hogwarts set for Christmas. I explained to her that the sets are ALL retired and the chances of finding a set in good condition with most/all of the pieces AND in our price range was not good. She was really disappointed but understood. We looked on eBay and the costs were horrific. About a month later, my dh's best friend said that one of his neighbor's husband had passed away recently and the wife was trying to sort through his things and get rid of stuff. She found a TON of Lego sets that he'd hidden. Apparently, he had a big obsession with Legos and had told his wife that he'd gotten rid of all of his sets. Among those sets were Hogwarts plus the Hogwarts Express plus like 4 or 5 other Harry Potter sets. She just wanted to get rid of them and dh's best friend thought of us. We got all of the sets (which were original releases) plus a few other older sets for just a couple of hundred bucks. My dh surprised dd and she was SO excited. In some cases, while there was only 1 box, there were 2 complete sets of the same thing in the box...for example, when we were finished building, there were 2 complete Hogwarts Express trains. She spent a LOT of time with my dh carefully putting together each set and then she asked dh to put shelves up so she could display them. As far as the BBT theory set, I'm SO going to get that for DH. He's a HUGE BBT fan (as am I).

And I must admit, I chuckled a little at how it would be finding out your husband had a secret Lego obsession. Hogwarts Castle was released at a time when I did lots of competitions. I won the castle along with two other large sets. I was so excited when I got the email that I blurted it out to the kids. I was furious with myself; Christmas was only a couple of months away and I should have kept the sets until then!

Y'all are going to PLAY with this set?! Don't you understand that in honor of the series it should stay mint in box? Otherwise, a tiny Sheldon Lego man will haunt your nightmares.

On my want list. Release date appears to be August 1st and the price in the US is 59.99. One problem though, Amy is sitting in Sheldon's seat.

Hogwarts (The second one Lego made, not the first.) was the first bigger set that DS ever saved his own money to buy. He was so proud when he finally had enough to go and buy it.

If you do take it out of the box to play with it, the set will break and you'll have to secretly steal your roomate's. the lie will haunt you and ruin your life . . . for about 25 minutes.
