I just found a cute Father's Day project and just wondered if they carry it before driving all over town. Also any dos and donts would be appreciated. I have done regular but never the iron on.
If they don't carry it does anyone know a good place to buy I only want a little but 1or 2 colors.
Thanks

Michaels and JoAnns have Silhouette and Cricut Heat transfer vinyl. Not the best but do-able. It is usually better to buy online from places like Expressions Vinyl.

Thanks. This is for an item that won't be laundered that much so I guess I need to make a trip and see if they have the right color. If I were going to be washing it a lot or doing more projects I would order online and will keep that in mind for future projects. I have a feeling I may decide I need to make a few more projects later.

It's really easy to use. There was a thread her or on the scrapping board a few weeks ago discussing vinyl and layering.
Michael's and JoAnn's carry it. I think AC Moore and Hobby Lobby do, too. I have a Mike's and J's nearby and they are always out of stock. I have Amazon Prime and will often just order from there to make it easy on myself.

i would order some. you can get small quantities and you will have better results with the good stuff.
i also recently made some tshirts by making a stencil with vinyl and then painting the shirts with the stencil. it worked great! not as easy as vinyl, but i didn't have any.

I hadn't thought of that. That might be a better option for what I want since it is an easy design and then I can use my stash. I have a few colors I will never use on s project but would work for s stencil. Someday I want to buy the iron on stuff and will order online. Thanks for the idea.

If you're going to make a stencil, skip the vinyl all together and use freezer paper. Iron it to the fabric with the waxy side down so it sticks to the fabric, stencil, peel the paper off. Easy peasy!

Easy peasy! Cool I will try that as I bought some for a project s while ago and have some left over if course now I need to figure out what to use the forest green stuff on.
