Ok on a cheese grater you have the one large grate side and on the other side you have 2 other types of grates. One is a small grate and the other ONE IS.......? What is that for? I've always wondered I know I hate it when I accidently touch cheese up against it because it just does nothing and sticks and makes it hard to clean

I don't have a grater with two sides... is the other one like little bumpy things? If so, it's used for shaving hard things like nutmeg.

I know I use the smaller grater for grating lemonzest off a lemon, and for grating cloves of garlic. Never had any use for the other one, so I'm not sure what it's for. Hard things like nutmeg sounds about right, like ashley said.

My cheese grater doesn't look like that. It's flat, single sided, and all the holes are the same.
It's super easy to clean bc I just stick it in the dishwasher.

Mine is four-sided: slice stuff, grate cheese, grate lemon rind, grate nutmeg. Thankfully if I get stuff stuck on the two littlest grating sides, my scrubby brush gets it clean without hurting my fingers.
