I actually record Y and R. And Bold and the Beautiful! I work during the day. Been watching B&B since it came out, and Y&R since I was a kid!

I don't have regular cable anymore, but before we pulled the plug I would mostly watch Law & Order : SVU marathons during the day. You can find that show on some channel any time during the day! If that isn't on I would watch The View, Ellen, The Talk, or Friends. I like having the background noise while I work. Now I just put on a series on Netflix or Hulu and listen to that for background noise. Hulu Plus has every single episode of SVU .

I'm a stay home wife with grown children. I don't care for daytime tv so I listen to talk radio for interesting conversation.

I usually watch recorded shows that have been recorded during evening hours. No interruption! In the summer, I go on a House Hunters/HGTV binge. Sometimes I do watch a bit of Dr. Phil so I'll feel better about my family.

I usually keep it on one channel the whole day, ABC. I enjoy watching most of the shows. If it is something I don't want to see, I will plan that time to do something else, like do dishes or run to the store. But I work full time, so on my days off I enjoy it. Don't know that I would want to watch that everyday! Except maybe Ellen.

At this very minute the tv is on and I'm listening to "We're the Millers". The tv is always on in our home from the time we get up until the time one of us wakes up at night and as we are headed to bed, the tv goes off. Yes, I watched a lot of "Bones", "Castle" and "Blue Bloods". My DH watches "Law & Order".

I'm a SAHM with the TV on all the time. I usually flip between 2 channels - ID & TLC. I like to watch the true crime shows on ID & My 600lb Life and Say Yes to the Dress on TLC.

No; but I haven't owned a television in over ten years, either.

I watch CBS This Morning and when it's over at 9:00 am, the TV gets turned off. It never gets turned back on until my husband comes home. I do work three-four days a week very part-time hours, but when I am home during the day, I never have the TV on.
I will crank up music when I'm moving around cleaning or cooking. But otherwise, I enjoy the peacefulness of a quiet house.

I haven't really watched any telly for months, the last thing I watched was one episode of Poldark but I couldn't get in to it. I'm not a fan of daytime telly, I try to do other things.

Morning tv sets my teeth on edge so I never watch that. The only time I watch tv during the day is when I'm eating lunch, I might watch something I DVR'd the night before. Those daytime shows don't really interest me.

No, I'm not a tv watcher. DH has it on when he is home. I am a reader and can read all day if given the chance.

I'm not usually home during the day but when I work from home, I watch shows like Hoarders or House Hunters that don't require full attention. But I ALWAYS, ALWAYS watch the Maury DNA shows if I'm home. It's my guilty pleasure.

I work at home, and keep the tv on in the background all day. Oddly, it helps me focus better. I like GMA, Kelli and Michael, then Criminal Minds or SVU. I can't have anything new and interesting on that needs my attention, or I start paying attention to it.

My TV is also on from the minute I'm up until I go to bed. But, I'm really not watching, it's just background noise. The only time I somewhat pay attention is the very beginning of the View for hot topics and also on the Talk for their hot topics. Every once in a while, there will be a time when it's off and surprisingly, I enjoy the quiet. I really should do that more often. The only time I listen to music is when I'm on the treadmill, so now I associate it with exercise.

I catch the odd episode of Dr Phil, sometimes a little bit of Ellen. But what I absolutely LOVE is Pointless! It's a gameshow made by BBC, so it's British. We have a BBC Entertainment (?) channel, and they will show Pointless a few times during the day, and I'll be having my morning coffe screaming answers to the television. I think I might be 70 years old, not 36... Especially if I watch Antiques Roadshow aswell Great show, and I learn a lot from the items they discuss. I am also a big SVU fan, but I watch the new episodes, not the reruns.

When my kids were little I watched soaps during their nap time. All My Children and One Life to Live and sometimes General Hospital were my favorites. If I'm home I watch a little TV but mostly listen to music while I'm busy around the house. If the TV is on I get sucked in to watch.

I like the judge says and have them on one doing things around the house. of course, this week I haven't been home long enough to see any of them. Good thing I'm retired!

Our television is never on until after 8:00 PM, if we even turn it on then. And then it's either sports, HGTV or Food Network. I can't stand the sound of the television - sometimes even when I'm sitting and watching it. I can't sit in front of it for too long. Sensory issues. Sometimes I'll have music on. Most of the time when I home all day, it's quiet. With windows open though so I hear life - birds, neighbors, etc.

I'm home in the afternoons now. I'm searching for something different to have on. I'm watching more now than I ever have as I'm stuck in this chair until about July or so.
Thank heavens for my iPad and the puzzle app I have that and being on here is my sanity!

I'm not a fan of most daytime tv so when I'm home during the week I watch shows I've taped during the evening. I do sometimes enjoy The Chew.

I watch GMA in the morning and then the TV goes off until the evening news or someone else comes home. I grew up in a house where we weren't allowed to watch TV before dinner so never got in a habit of turning it on. DH is from a house where the TV is on 24/7 and he does turn it on as soon as he comes in the door. I tease him that the TV does have an "off" button, because he'll watch for a little while and walk away but never turns it off.
My only exceptions are the gym - usually watch HGTV on the treadmill - and weekend sports.

Not really. If the TV is on and it's not turned to a cartoon/kids show, I might flip in HGTV and get sucked in to a marathon of Property Brothers or Flip or Flop, or I'll turn on a movies. I loooove to watch movies.

I watch some episodes of Dr. Phil and all of Judge Judy. She's hilarious.
I don't like the talk shows like Chew, etc. but I do keep a news channel on sometimes while I'm working. (I work from my home, so sometimes I just like to stay connected with what's going on in the outside world.)

The only day time TV I enjoy is Ellen, and even then I only catch it once a month or so. It used to be on at 4pm so I was able to watch it more as the afternoon was winding down. Must have been late last year that they changed it to 3pm....so not so much any more. I don't have anything to record it with. I suppose I could go online to watch it....

I'm a SAHM and while our TV is always on, I rarely watch it. I do like to watch The Chew, if I get the opportunity to catch it while it's on... that maybe happens 1-2x's per week, if that.
I do DVR a couple of shows, Game of Thrones is the only one I can think of that is currently on. But I catch up my shows, maybe one afternoon a week (sometimes when the kids are playing if I don't think they'll bother me for an hour or so). Anything else DVR'd (Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, The Middle, etc), we watch together as a family.
I can't even imagine being bored as a SAHM... there is always something to do. I don't have a lot of downtime to just sit around and watch TV (although I wish I did!!)

No, you are not alone, lol. Although from the looks of this board, we may be the only two! I'm another SAHM w/semi-grown kids (teens). My TV is on all the time, but it's in my bedroom, so I'm not plopped in front of it all day. Don't get me wrong - I am a complete Couch Tomato and left to my own devices could totally watch all day long. That's one of the reasons I don't have it in my living room - I know me too well. What I have on varies daily. Love me some CSI, SVU & am always a sucker for the Project Runway marathons. I can also be counted on to watch the occasional Lifetime Movie.
