Thank goodness Joann's made it a painless process. Of course I had my receipt. In a nutshell, in the two months I have had the machine I have used it all of 3 maybe 4 times. Not because I haven't had time to use it but more because when I did have time to use it the Design Space site was either down for maintenance or the web browser I was using had a plugin issue with the Cricut software. Enough is enough. My time is precious. I have very little time to scrap and when I do I don't have time for these technical difficulties. When Cricut gets it worked out I will go back. I am thinking maybe I should've gotten the Expression instead since it doesn't require being connected to the Internet to use it but I thought the Explore was supposed to be the latest greatest thing. Oh well. Lesson learned. /end rant

I'm sure that was disappointing. The Internet limitation is one reason I have not bought the Explore.
Was this your first electronic cutter, or were there specific things you wanted to be able to do with it?

That's what put me off the Explore. Have you thought about going with Silhouette and getting a Cameo? I have an old Cricut Create I use with SCAL and when it dies, I'm planning to get a Cameo.

I also have a limited internet connection. I absolutely LOVE my Silhouette Cameo. No internet needed to use it. They are coming out with some new stuff in August. They will have the ability to use iPads, iPhones, etc to design and cut with it. Loads of new things coming for it

I've used my Explore a lot since I got it at Christmas. I do follow FB pages to keep up with the outages and fixes to browsers for Design Space which I think makes my experience much less painful! I wish Cricut hadn't made Design Space as a plugin since I love Chrome and they are getting rid of support for Plugins in September. Chrome made this KNOWN before the Explore was to come out. So I think that was a mistake on Cricut's part. They have announced that there will be a fix before the fall. Though Chrome now every time pops up a message about how they won't be supporting this plugin soon when I go to use DS. A whole bunch of people exploded on FB over it. Cricut sent out an e-mail and the message has been repeated in different FB pages that to ignore it. It won't be until September and they promise to have a fix before then. I know it's a constant work in progress! I can see how that can be frustrating for people. They will be coming out with an app for the iPhone (will work on the lastest iPod I was told) and the ability to work with DS on these gadgets without internet. Though not for the computer! I'm sure that would bring more customers in if they included the computer. I'm guessing it's a bigger task to handle. They are going to be including Android devices at some point so you don't have to buy Apple tablets etc. For me the Explore is working fine. I do have good internet connection and I love the cuts from it! I have used the Print Then Cut feature for box cards which saves me so much time. I'm getting a Hogwarts party ready for my daughter next weekend. I found a PNG file of the Hogwarts crest and used the Print then Cut function. I'm in love with it. I'm going to make badges for the kids.

This have been my second machine. I had the smaller Cricut (the one before they started calling it the Create). I was going with what I was familiar with. Also I didn't want a bunch of cartridges. I was weighing the option between cartridges and printing whatever I wanted. Also I liked the idea of the Bluetooth. I had it set up across the table from my computer. I don't have room at my computer for the machine and it worked out really well this way. Especially if I had to do a long banner project.
I'm not totally knocking Cricut and I would buy another one. Just wish they would've planned it out better. You pay $200 for a machine you shouldn't have these issues.
