He's adorable! How old? Are there any other pets in the house and if so how are they getting along?

Thanks! He is about 10 weeks old. We honestly hadn't planned on him (would that make him an unplanned kittency?), just DD and I looking at the shelter animals that they had visiting the pet supply store. We completely fell head over heels in love with this guy, and somehow convinced my husband to go along with it. We already have 2 adult female cats, Cleo who's about 7 or 8, and Layla, who is something like 3.5. (They were both also shelter kitties, that's why we don't really know.) Cleo tends to be a grumpy cat. (She was rescued from a hoarding situation, and she chose me to adopt her. Wouldn't let anyone else even pet her for a long time.) However, she's tolerating the little guy...Layla is used to being the cute little kitty, so she's having a little identity crisis. I do think it'll all work out all right. Jack is appropriately subservient to them, but not cowering. I had hoped Layla actually would bond with him, but we'll see if that happens. Worst case scenario looks like we'll have 3 independent kitties. His name was Duke, but I was afraid I'd inadvertently shorten it to "Doodoo" or something equally unlovely. DD wanted Jack, DS wanted Jayden (his favorite Power Ranger ), so we all agreed to Jack Jayden, with just Jack or JJ for short. Right now he's lying in my lap on his back, kneading the air with both paws. Say it together, now...AWWWWWWW!

Oh, and while I've adopted several animals in my life, they've always been adults. This is the first (animal) baby I've had, and I AM LOVING IT!

He's so PRECIOUS! They are fun, we have a young one right now (though he's about a year & a half) with the much older female cats. He is cracking us up, including the older cats
