I only read on my Kindle or my Kindle app on my phone. I love my Kindle. It's pretty basic, not even a touch-screen or keyboard (which I've tried but don't like). Really, the only complaint I have about it is not being able to read in the dark, but that's not a huge issue.
I've looked at the Paperwhite, but if I'm going to upgrade, I would probably just go ahead and upgrade to the Voyage (and will probably wait until the Christmas sales to do it).
Meanwhile, if you have one, tell me what you like and don't like. Do I really want to upgrade?

I have a Paperwhite and LOVE it. I got it pretty soon after it came out, when they were having problems with uneven lighting, and I did have to try two before getting the one that I have now. But seriously, I LOVELOVELOVE it. That said, being the early adopter I am, I have been keeping an eye on the Voyage as well. The reviews I've seen have been mixed. There have definitely been problems with (again) the lighting of the screen, and I figured I'd wait until version 2 comes out before taking it seriously. But I've also read a lot of reviews that said that there's not THAT much of a difference between that and the Paperwhite, so I can't really justify pulling the trigger. Unless the reviews get considerably better, even if my PW bit the dust now, I'd probably just get another of those. Just my 2 cents.

I have a Voyage. I really like it, but if I had to buy another, I'd probably get the Paperwhite. Here's why. The thing I LOVE is that the lighting adapts with the ambient light. But that's the only thing that I can tell the difference on. It's slightly smaller and lighter than my DH's Paperwhite. And it does hold more books, but I delete after I've finished. My 47 year old eyes can't tell the difference in the displays (the Voyage has a higher ppi). So I don't know if the adaptive lighting is worth the extra $80. All my Kindles have had 3G and no ads, so $209 vs $289 is a big jump.
ETA; The other difference is the page press, which I do use and like, but not really necessary.

Thanks for the responses!
So I see that the light changes with ambient lighting. Can you also adjust it manually?

I have a keyboard Kindle on its last legs, so I upgraded to a Paperwhite. I did look at the Voyage, but the extra features didn't seem worth it to me. Around holidays, Amazon often puts the Paperwhite on sale for $20 off.

I don't know if it's still available, but my Kindle cover has a light in it. It pulls out from the top to shine on the page. Of course, you might prefer to put the cost of the new cover toward a new Kindle.
