After reading spongemom scrappants thread on what she did for her mother's 90 birthday (looks like they had a blast) I wanted to ask for ideas on what to do for my mother's 65 (Jan 2016). She is pretty active and for the most part likes adventure (went ziplining last year). Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

When my Mom turned 70 (she's 90 now), my 3 sibs and I chipped in to give her a trip to Bermuda - a place she has always wanted to go. My sis and I went along and it was wonderful. We searched and got a pretty reasonable rate and went for 5 days, and splitting her trip cost between four of us made it doable. Is there some place she has wanted to see but just hasn't gone yet?

If your mom is like me, it sounds like she may be, she would like to do something with you. I'm just a year younger than your mother and I also went zip lining with my daughter. Maybe you can think of an adventure for the two of you?

My mom's 80th is coming up but we aren't doing anything special for her. She does her own thing. For MIL's 70th last year, we threw her a party and her kids (2) from Wisconsin flew out to join those already in CA.
My 50th is coming up and I already bought tickets to a country concert for me and a friend. DH doesn't want to go so that's fine even though it's on his birthday (a couple months after mine). I never do stuff like this so it's a treat to myself.

For my 60th DH and DS took me Go-Carting. It was a hoot!
