DS puked at 1am. He had previously fallen asleep on the sofa, while watching a movie. I left him there.
He was wrapped in a comforter. When he up chucked, it landed in the comforter. I came quickly and rolled up the comforter and deposited it straight into the washer.
Immediately started it on the longest hottest cycle possible.
Went back to taking care of him. An hour later I pull the comforter from the washer to see if it needs another go and am surprised to find the remote in the bottom of the washer.
Joy.
Guess I'll be calling DishTV to get a new one. Wonder what they charge for a replacement?
DS is fine. He was stressed yesterday and puking is not uncommon for him when he's overwrought.

We bought extra direct tv remotes off ebay and paid about a dollar each, all from the same vendor, so bundled shipping, cost was about 10 dollars total. We have remote control wars at house! But, it was a heck of a lot cheaper than buying directly from the souce. You might try it for the Dish remotes too.

I just wanted to say that it took me a while to figure out FWP. I was putting a four letter word in the first position and Pea in the last and couldn't figure out what the W would be.
I finally figured it out.

Take the batteries out and let it dry out. Long shot, but might work. My dad used to purposely wash his remotes, after removing batteries, to get them clean.

oh good. I was afraid I was the only one who didn't know.
OP, I'm sorry. We've all been there.
