I have a hope chest. Given to me by DH when we got engaged. It's not in my bedroom because there's no room, it's in DS's bedroom though. It's a Lane. I'm not sure if they still make them. My bff and I used to call it the "hopeless" chest too.

I have one but it sits in the hall. I used to have my grandmother's but when my oldest daughter got married she begged for it and I caved in.
I live in a turn of the century (the last century) house so I appreciate the storage. Both are cedar lined.

I have a cedar chest my parents gave me for my 18th birthday. It has stored different things throughout the years. Right now it holds all my purses (yes, I have a problem). I also have the cedar chest my mom had. It has an ugly cloth top that I want to change out, but haven't gotten around to yet. My daughter has it in her room now. She keeps off season clothes in hers. They are both Lane.

I have 2 - one is my Mom's that my Dad made her - fairly plain.
The other one is one he made me. Mine looks like a real treasure chest, solid cedar with hammered brass accents (all hand made by Dad). He had made a small (approx. 7") treasure chest when he was a teen. When I asked him to make a hope chest for me he asked what I wanted it to look like. One day it came to me - make it just like the small one, but full size. It's beautiful!!

I don't have one but my mom did. Cedar is the traditional wood.

I do and yes, it's at the foot of my bed. I have my wedding dress and my mom's wedding dress in there, the baptismal gown I made for my kids, and some old quilts. I bought it from a furniture store shortly after DH and I were married. I always wanted one, so I bought my own! i love that you have all if these wonderful things stored in yours!!!

I have my grandmother's hope chest. Right now, we use it as a coffee table and iDD is storing part of her stuffed animal collection in it.

I have one. DH bought it for me back when we were still dating. It's in the playroom, filled with old tea sets. The kids play on the top of it. I bet it hasn't been opened in years. We used to have it at the end of our bed, but our room is just too small. I hope someday I find a better spot for it.
