Delta Dawn , I don't think Treyaut is here....ndmomrn referenced using one of Treyaut's posts for inspiration but I think it was a post from the old board. ( alittleintrepid and Elannah- Sorry if that was misleading- treyaut's post was from the old 2Peas board. I snapped a readable copy and can try to email to you if you'd like.

I've now done 6 out of the 20 layouts I committed to completing before my next purchase.
How is everyone else holding up?

Chinagirl828 That's great! I haven't purchased anything, so far so good! I was tempted by a Peachy Cheap deal, but deleted the email.

I was so tempted by a Dear Lizzy set on peachycheap the other day but I deleted it too! No shopping here, still holding strong! However - full disclaimer - I did get the Paper Pumkin card kit today that I had ordered and paid for before I committed to the no shopping til January. I bought a promo awhile ago for half off for 2 months, so this month and next - because they are paid for. After that - nada, zip, zilch, no kits, no scrappy shopping of any kind!

doesitmatter - I have the same situation. I pre-ordered some summer collection kits months ago. They come any day. I am actually planning to save them for my retreat in November. I'm not even opening them. That way I won't be tempted to buy product for my retreat.

We went with hubs to his job (2 hours away).... They have a hobby lobby.... Back to square 1. But I did get the first 3 colors of TH Distress Ink in the pad form. Luckily they were almost closing and ds was rushing me so he could go to the fireworks store, so I didn't have a lot of time.
But I did finish 2 layouts so I'm at 28 of 30.

It's a good thing that I don't get emails from the daily deal sites like Peachy Cheap- too tempting! Good for you, Mikklynn, for resisting. I have not shopped at all with the exception of some AC white cardstock that Joann.com had for 60% off. After I checked out the price on Amazon ($23!), I ordered 2 boxes for $8 a piece. We lost our 14 year-old golden retriever this past weekend. Needless to say, it has been a rough few days and shopping has been the last thing on my mind. Oddly, I have felt like scrapping- all of those recent pictures of her seem like gold and I really want to get them on pages. Hang in there, everyone!

ndmomrn I'm so sorry you lost your golden. They are the sweetest dogs.

ndmomrn , sorry to hear about your dog. I grew up with Goldens and just adore them. I'm doing okay with the challenge. I've only made a handful of pages but have also made a bunch of cards, gift holders, and 3D projects (to hold gifts) so am happily making a dent in my stash. I did send a pile of photos off for printing because our Costco prints were on special for 10 cents each but this was totally necessary to get my current vacation albums done.

Um, total fail here. I made the mistake of agreeing to go to the Scrapbook Expo with a friend who did not want to go alone. I honestly thought I would have no desire to buy any more scrapping stuff before we move. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Going to a scrapbook convention when you are trying to be frozen is a really bad idea.
At least my purchases were all small in size, lightweight, and will not take up a lot of room in a box when we move.

Thank you ladies for your kind words. She was sweet and quirky and I miss her terribly. Scrapping without her snoring at my feet won't feel the same. Scrapnnana- going to an expo and not buying anything is like taking a kid to Disneyland and not letting him get any souveniors! At least you kept your move in mind and didn't go totally crazy.

You're so cute - thinking you could go to something like the Expo and not come out w/something! I give you a pass, too. You went to accompany a friend, so it's not your fault. I have been doing great! OK, truth be told, I haven't even scrapped in the past few weeks, so my frozenness really doesn't count, lol. My space is a mess because I began unpacking from my crop weekend and just dumped everything from my bags all over the table. The bags are stowed, but nothing else is put away. No table space = no scrapping. No scrapping = no desire to shop. That being said, a good friend of mine is coming to visit next week and we're planning on scrapping. She has no big box stores near her, let alone lss's. I see a shopping trip in our future. I will try to be good.

I've done 8 out of 20 layouts and have another one half done on my desk.

I am do a serious housecleaning seesion today, but tomorrow I will be waiting on an oven deliery so I think I will get working on something from my stash! Thinking of using a CTMH scrapbook worshop kit- that way it's together and less hunting for extra stuff... I won't say no hunting, but less lol?
