Looks like it's official this time. I love this show. Every season there's been rumors of it being the last but it looks like it's really it. www.tvguide.com/news/parenthood-renewed-final-season-1081635.aspxI tried one episode of Friday Night Lights and I couldn't get into it. I might have to try it again. All the reviews I see of that are good too. |

I tried one episode of Friday Night Lights and I couldn't get into it. I might have to try it again. All the reviews I see of that are good too. You must! Watch at least the first five and you will be addicted! |

I really like this show, but i do agree that maybe it's run it's course. Nothing much happened last year. Julia and Christina were both driving me nuts.

LOVE this show! Will be sad to see it end. They should do a spin off with Amber... She is one of my favorites on there. Such a phenomenal talent! I mean if they had a Boy Meets World spin off it's totally feasible, right  |

I love Partenthood too, but I am glad they gave us/the end time so that they can use these episodes to tie everything together and not leave us wondering. That being said, I do think they ended the last two seasons like it wasn't coming back/

The good thing is, though, is that they are taping knowing this is the end, so we don't get abruptly cut off, without any resolution. There have been TOO many shows in the last 10 years that were ceremoniously dumped after a couple of seasons with no closure. |

This is my #1 favorite show and I hate that it's coming to an end. I'll be honest, while part of me is glad that the loose ends will be wrapped up, I kind of wish it would have just ended. Watching the whole season, knowing it's all leading up to a grand finale is going to be so sad. I have yet to watch the series finale of How I Met Your Mother because I don't want to watch 'the end'. And that wasn't even one of my favorite shows.  TV Show Drama Queen. Party of 1.   |

I remember hearing this a while back and I'm relieved. Not because I don't love the show - I do - but because I really want this show to have the chance to say a proper goodbye.
Friday Night Lights had one of the best endings to a drama series I can remember and I think Parenthood will also get a good sendoff, now that they know when the ending will be.

I have enjoyed the ride with the Braverman family. The writing on Parenthood is so good. The cast makes us believe this is areal family. Knowing this is the last season will make it bittersweet.

Another Parenthood fan here. OP, please give FNL another chance. Loved that one too, and agree that it had one of the best series endings ever. Six Feet Under wins my vote for best series ending ever...I went into the ugly cry and rarely do I get that invested in a tv program, movie or book that it brings me to tears!

Huge Braverman fan here and although, like others, am sad to see it end I, too, am happy that it will tie everything up in the end. At least i hope so. I will be so pissed if it has a crappy ending. St. elsewhere anyone?

I have always meant to watch this show and somehow it's never happened. I may watch the final season, then go back and watch the earlier ones.
Unless it's a sitcom (although more & more, sitcoms have changed and have ongoing, serialized story aspects), I think it's important for the writers and producers to know in advance when the final episode will be, so they can end things properly. I mean, I don't know that it always helps - I have little faith that the Glee writers can salvage the show in the final season - but it certainly can if the writing is good enough. I think Private Practice (admittedly not a great show by the end) still benefited from TPTB knowing far in advance that they had 13 episodes left to tie it all up. I hope Grey's gets that when the time comes.

I watched the first season last year but gave it up bc I didn't think I could handle the cancer story line. My mom had just died the year before and inth
