What a great thread! I love all the ideas as I too am in a wood veneer/enamel dot rut! I got rid of all my buttons wish I had not done that lol

This thread is making me want to scrap, too! (which means I need to tackle the unpacking I have had to do since I went to the 3-day crop in March, lol...)

I'm never going to go through what Shimelle shows in her vids. any sources for easier clusters??? I am not sure what you mean by you will never go through what Shimelle shows in her videos? Do you think her process is too complicated? Which If so, why? does she use too many things for your taste? Just take a few out... Like anything else I think this is just a technique that takes practice. After you get good at it, and know what you like, and your own style it doesn't really take that long. For example, for me, I know that I like certain elements in my clusters so I have those ready to go and once the paper elements are down on my page I start thinking about what few things work best from my "usual suspects" on this particular layout. Then I simply go from biggest elements to smallest...things like large labels, large stickers go on first as sort of a foundation element, then smaller things follow, puffy stickers, sequins etc and lastly I usually do mist splatters. I really can't think of anyone who teaches clusters as well as Shimelle. Maybe someone else has advice here. ETA: Oh and flair is a term used by scrapbookers to describe those metal badges, pins or buttons people wear with a printed design on them. When I was a kid people would collect pins from say their favourite bands and wear them on their jacket. Let me find you a picture of scrapbooking flair...
