I've spent a lot of time yesterday and today watching YouTube videos of people's planner set ups. I have ONE major complaint! People need to stop sniffing while filming their videos. Oh my word, it is SO disgusting. And SO many people do it! A LOT!!!! Is there anything that drives you absolutely crazy when watching YouTube videos?

The constant "ummm" "uhh" and general lack of good speech. I also hate background noises.

With the ones who are professional You-tubers (like my favorite cooking You-Tuber who posts new recipes multiple times per week) I wish she would get a camera with a microphone that clips onto the shirt so it sounds more professional and not so echo-y as she talks. It sounds like she's talking into a tunnel. Drives me crazy.

I hate when it appears they are unprepared. They need to run and get, forget the name of a product they are using or need to measure because they don't have it written down.
Did someone just walk in and say do it now.
Get prepared before you turn the camera on.

People's cats, dogs and children interfering. Get out of the way! You are not cute, you are an annoying distraction.

I will start by saying that I watch a LOT of You Tube videos. I love them. I really have learned so much and enjoy seeing new card making techniques and new tools to buy. I am very shy, so I admire anyone that can put the camera on and put themselves out there - it takes a lot of time and energy.
But one thing that will get me to head to a new video quickly is a super long intro (basically an ad for themselves) that sometimes seems longer than the actual content. I've seen some that are 2 minutes long. Really? a 2 minute intro for a 5 minute YT? And I much prefer the ones where they describe the technique they are doing rather than just playing music in the background. I turn those off right away.

I have the attention span of a gnat when it comes to YouTube videos. If it doesn't get to the point right away and stay on topic, I'm outta there. So many are just too much blah, blah, blah with no point at all.

So many are just too much blah, blah, blah with no point at all. I agree. I have been finding myself hovering over the little location bar at the bottom and looking at the images where I hover to see if the view has changed. Sometimes we are 10 minutes in and they are still on the cover of the planner. Good grief, get to it!

And let me add, the claws on some of those girls! They can barely use their fingers when their nails are sooooo long. Really creeps me out.

I'm taking an online Communications class (hello, irony) and the instructor made a couple of tutorial videos for us. I think the man has a chronic head cold, judging by all the snuffling going on. It is annoying, and he rambles on! So seven minutes of video for three minutes of content and what feels like 20 minutes of his stuffed-up nose.

I watch quite a bit of YT videos too. These are the things I find distracting or what makes me turn off the video:
1. Long intro or talking about something that has nothing to do w/ the video before person starts the demo. 2. If you want an intro to your video, then show your face. Drives me crazy looking at an empty desk while she's going on & on. 3. Too much jewelry (rings & bracelets). I prefer to look at hands w/ no jewelry. 4. Distracting nail polish. A lot of female YTubers have gotten into the nail art craze. Some looks good, others not so good. 5. Bad lighting & poor voice quality on videos.
Now, some of these suggestions are easy to fix. Others may cost more money than person wants to invest in. I guess I've gotten spoiled w/ some YTubers who make & put out a quality video. These are just my opinions & hope this helps others in the future.
