We are most likely rooting for Argentina. It's been pretty hard watching Brazil playing poorly. I was really excited that Costa Rica got as far as they did!

Argentina.
It almost seems like a win for Argentina would make up for some of Brazil's humiliation.

Germany because my son is in Berlin and will be watching the game in an outdoor area that's been set up.

Argentina. It almost seems like a win for Argentina would make up for some of Brazil's humiliation. Except Argentina and Brazil are huge rivals in the soccer world... I think it might actually be a bigger blow...

I think it might actually be a bigger blow... Yeah, but there still ought to be some satisfaction for them in Germany not being the winner. Pick your poison, I guess.

I think Brazil would prefer that their rival be bested by the team that bested them. On the other hand, I don't think they would turn down Germany receiving a massive ass kicking along the lines of what they were dealt!

I honestly don't know....... Sort of the worst final out for an England fan. I meant to find out who had drawn which of these two teams in the sweepstake at work to see if that helped in my decision.

So far it seems to be a pretty even game with both ends of the pitch being played. It's still anybody's game at this point.

To quote one of my friends on FB: "Choosing who you want to win between Argentina and Germany is like having to pick which bloke runs off with your wife!" (For an England fan)
I've had money on Argentina to win from the start, but would be nice to see a European team win in SA for the 1st time. Going with FruitySuet's criteria of who has who in the work sweepstake pushes me towards Argentina too (I had Brazil, gutted!)

Can NOT want Argentina to win with our history of the 'hand of God'!! OTOH, I really am not bothered who wins, so am not watching!

Germany...I think Messi is one of the best players there is, but FC Bayern is our favorite team. Love Muller

Germany! But my teen daughters want Argentina. They think they have the cutest players! What teen girl doesn't pick teams by how good looking their players are (haha)!

At last someone has scored a goal! Makes no difference to me who it was, as long as we are spared a penalty shoot out.

I like the shootouts. But it doesn't look like we're going to have one.

The locals here are celebrating hard! I'm going to see a bunch of very happy, smiling Germans tomorrow! It's 11:40pm over here and fireworks are going off everywhere. Congratulations to Germany! It was a hard fought game!
