So if you are still up (wherever you might be) go to sb.com and see if it isn't all in Chinese. All of the general sb'ing threads have been changed to what I assume is Chinese and the names of the posters have been changed to things like niagarafalls. Weird!

Run your virus scan. I don't know enough about computers, but I hope you didn't pick up anything from their site if it's infected. Just a thought

Ugh... The home page is fine but the forums are messed up... I can't remember - anyone recall what information is included/saved in accounts there?

I think it had our city and state, but no real personal info that I can remember. Would that really be the place someone would hack? I didn't check the other forums. I only went on the general and then got off.

Doesn't seem like the most interesting site (for hackers), but maybe they do enough in retail sales that the account info is valuable? Names, addresses, credit cards, or...? I really don't know why or how people hack so I just get nervous when I hear about it - not sure if I even need to be, it's just that's all I know how to do...lol

It actually seems that what they have done is spam post some sort of advertising. It doesn't appear they have changed any posts at all, but rather they posted a heap of new messages all to the top of the page. If you go back far enough you will see the real posts are still there they are just far underneath the junk posts. Probably some sort of spambots did it. I would not be concerned about hacking because I don't think that is what this is at all.

Those are spam people. THey usually post a few every weekend. We report them & they get them deleted. They will not hurt you at all. Recently it has happened where they have 4 or 5 pages like it is now. They are very good in protecting us there. There has never been anything there that has given a virus ever. I have been there for lots of years. they have said that it is computers doing the spam nothing harmfull.

I though it was just my computer and that I hit something to change the language or something. I posted on their tech thread which was reading regular in English. Thanks for the information! Glad it's just spam bots.

Thanks for the info I've always had great service and felt comfortable there so no complaints about sb.com, but not knowing what it was spooked me... Hadn't seen the spamming happen before... Ugh - must be annoying for them to deal with...

I saw a whole page of these this morning, and I thought there was something wrong with my laptop at first. Then it was gone when I refreshed the page. I realized it must have been spam, and they zapped it while I was there.
