Patter Your pages are gorgeous!!! I know it is more than 1/2 through the year but could I join your Scripture Challenge for 2015? Also, can I ask which bible are you using and is it available through CBD? And do you journal on every page? Thanks in advance!

ingrid6, thank you, and of course you can join the Glory {Art} Challenge! People are welcome any time! Would love to have you! Click the link in my siggie for details and a link to the Facebook page if you are interested. And I am actually journaling in 3 different Bibles to give to my girls someday. I have an ESV and two HCSB. I really, really disliked the ESV because the font is so small. I gave up on it. Then I went back to it a few weeks ago, and have fallen in love with the smaller size again. Ugh! At least it's ultimately not for me and my girls have younger eyes so that should work. LOL! And I only journal scriptures as I feel led; not every page. Looking forward to having you join in. Blessings,

Patter, your pages are amazing! What I love about bible journaling is the idea of being able to flip through the bible to revisit scripture that had enough of an impact on my life at the time to draw attention to it though art. I can't tell you how I wish I was artistic enough to do it myself. I was first introduced to bible journaling by Shanna Noel. She has started a company called Illustrated Faith. She has collaborated with Bella Blvd. and her first collection of supplies is starting to hit the market. She also sells most of her collection and a kit every month from her Etsy store. She is incredibly talented, as sweet as can be, and has a strong faith in God. It has really been a joy to see her vision take hold. Shanna's InstagramShanna's Etsy store

Thank you again everyone. And@lisadv, do you listen to KLOVE? It's a contemporary Christian radio station on throughout the US. Some places do not get the station but a lot do. We listen to it and love it. I had not heard of it. Will check it out! We had a great station in Ohio that I liked, and will occasionally go to its internet site to listen. But have not found one here in the boonies of Michigan that is comparable.

To tell the truth, I'm with doesitmatter. I don't like to write in my Bible; I keep all my sermon notes in a separate notebook...
...then I saw Patter's photos. They are AWESOME! So you are not covering up any of the words; you're simply journaling in the margins? I carry my KJV Rainbow Bible with me to church and I never could bring myself to write in it.
I may have to keep a lookout for a "journaling" Bible, though. TFS!

I see some beautiful pieces of art in peoples Bibles but it grieves me to see His word covered. If I want to put a picture in a book, I will do it in a vintage hardbound book I get at Goodwill or something; not my Bible. I don't judge those that do it but it is certainly not for me at all. I keep it in the margins. Search on Notetaker's Bible or Journaling Bible. You will find many. Christianbook.com has the largest selection in stock. Also, note that the ESV Journaling Bible is a tiny, tiny font. I do use it but I must wear my progressives to read it.
