Picked up a book called "Here is Where: Discovering America's Great Forgotten History", by Andrew Carroll. I can't tell you how fabulous it is! He travelled all over the country, visiting long forgotten historical sites. It is positively fascinating. So many coincidences, intertwined stories, and painful lessons that we have forgotten. So many stories I have never heard of, but should have!
It is opening my eyes to so many things from our past. It is also reminding me of how many times our Supreme Court got it wildly wrong, destroying many lives in the process. And making me even more proud of our country, that we have overcome so much.
The book is a really easy read and the author is very humourous at times. If you have an interest in history at all, I highly recommend it.
