Hi ladies, it's Tuesday so head on over to the Silhouette store to download the free cut file if you like Starfish! (Really, who doesn't love Starfish?). ( GiantsFan , what do you think of starfish? ) I downloaded the the update and have been able to cut files without any problem. How is everyone else doing? whenever i have credit that needs to be spent in the Silhouette store, one of my go-to designers is Lori Whitlock but I've only recently discovered that she occasionally has free SVGs on her own site here.
Don't forget to see is Miss Kate Cuttables' Freebie of the day is any good for you. It's a movie night theme! another designer that has some cute free stuff is 17 turtles. ( impearia , are you still looking for a scribbled circle file? Juliana Michaels at 17 turtles has a cute one that might fit the bill.) and here is a cute little Hummingbird from the free SVG blog. I'm on a mission to use my Cameo as often as possible. What have you been cutting lately?

Thanks! Off to download. I've been known to use a starfish or two on a layout.

I often have credits I need to use up and to not lose them I will buy fonts. Yeah I know they're overpriced but I don't want to lose the credits.
What are some of the files the rest of you buy when you need to use up credits?

If you are looking for ideas on how to use your Silhouette files check out Paige Evans class (Silhouette Savvy) over at Craftsy.com link. Parts of it might be remedial if you are an experienced Silhouette user but I still found great inspiration from the class. The class looks like it's not on sale right now but they run sales fairly often.

I made the "Happy Birthday" banner (Design ID #58048) today with my Cameo. Now to string it up but we have no birthdays until August. At least I am ahead of the game.

gloryjoy , I often find myself needing to use up credits so continuously add to my wishlist whenever I see something that I can see myself using eventually. I always check on designers that I like (my big ones tend to be Simple Stories and Lori Whitlock). I used to also find great stuff with American Crafts but they don't seem to be producing cut files anymore. This (being a Lori Whitlock Fangirl) has gotten me in a situation where I own many, many 3D shapes but I like them for little gifts. If there is a sale on for a specific category, I'll go through that category to see what might work for me and add to my wishlist.

alittleintrepid I do that as well, think ahead to Christmas or whatever. I will admit my subscription plan is probably bigger than what I need now as I've had it for a few years, but every year when my renewal date comes up they lower the price. It just makes sense to keep that plan.

gloryjoy , mine is too big too...I have a million files (give or take!) but somehow the plan I have seems like the best deal! And I'm still downloading free files! I have been using my Silhouette a lot recently though and keep challenging myself to use it regularly!

I'm not having any troubles with the update.
I just did a bunch of grad stuff, but went old school with my dies. For some reason, using all those old photos made me want to dig out my dies. I made a banner with 14 flags on it and put all of his school photos on the flags, including pre K and his grad picture. On the Cameo, I did make the little grad hats that fit over a straw and they were very popular and lots of people asked about them. I used the little straw/hats in the floral centerpieces and just in a mason jar on their own. I made a banner with just green and gold (school colors) patterned paper and strung that around the gazebo outside. I had a 2015, with each number on a skewer, for the cake. And a lot of 2015's scattered around the house.
I also made plaques for the theatre seniors with my Cameo. They each directed a one act play as their final, so I had their name, the name of the one act, and Director on the plaques. I did vinyl, so they were really easy.
