We're heading up to Seattle for a Seahawks game in November (our first ever!) and don't know the area at all. Any suggestions would be so appreciated!

Just my DH and I. Going to a Sunday game and will be there from Thursday till Monday. We like the outdoors and seeing the unique things that tourists typically miss.

Well, November is a very iffy time weather wise, so it is hard to give you outdoorsy suggestions. If ScI-Fi is at all interesting to you I love the ScI- Fi museum connected to the EMP (I know I am in the minority, but I didn't care much for the EMP side). It is really cool and fun. Obviously, Pike's Place Market is a must for anyone going to Seattle, be sure to get some Ellenos yogurt. Seriously, I hate yogurt and I can't get enough of that stuff! I really enjoyed the underground tour in old town, which would be fun if the weather is bad. If the weather is nice, a ferry ride is always fun.

I had a co-worker in town last week. He stayed at the The W Hotel in Seattle. He was able to walk to the Mariner's stadium (which is right next door to the Seahawks) to catch a game from the hotel. Getting out after the game and dealing with parking can be a real hassle. My dh and son will take the bus into the city instead of driving to avoid that mess. I would highly recommend eating at Wild Ginger, it's my favorite restaurant in the city. Take the ferry to Bainbridge Island. Wander the cute downtown area and get ice cream at Mora on Bainbridge. Head over to Alki Beach to walk along the water and get chowder at Duke's Chowder HouseWe like to take out of town visitors on the Underground Tour...definitely a different and interesting view of Seattle. If it's clear, you can get a great view of Seattle with the Space Needle in the back at Kerry Park. Riding the Great Wheel on the Seattle Waterfront is touristy, but a lot of fun. Same with a visit to Pike's Place Market.

Ride the Ducks is a great way to see lots of the downtown area.

I like Hotel 1000, and you could walk to the game from there. My inlaws always stay at the Fairmont. If you are looking for something more budget-friendly, the Silver Cloud is a chain here that usually has reasonable rates.
November, as a pp said, is variable here. It could be lovely, or it could be rainy and cold (we don't generally get super cold here, however). Depending on the weather, some indoor suggestions are the Asian art museum in Volunteer Park (which is also a nice park to walk around, weather permitting); the science center if it has good traveling exhibits or IMAX films (the general exhibits are aimed towards kids, so check online); the Seattle Art Museum, which is downtown; Pike Place Market, which has both indoor and outdoor spaces; EMP/SciFi museum (I don't like it, but many people do), and , of course, a trip up the space needle. If the weather at all permits, I suggest a ferry ride to Bainbridge Island; a trip to Gasworks park (amazing views of the city, kite-flying, young adults slack-lining and doing SCA stuff); and a trip to the Ballard Locks.
My favorite restaurant here is the Walrus and the Carpenter, which is awesome. Westward is also great, and has nice views. If you want to step into a time capsule of service and cocktails, Canlis also has amazing views and excellent food (it is probably the only place in the city where your husband would want to wear a jacket, however). Lark is good if you are a tapas/ small bites person. Canon and Damn the Weather are probably my favorite bars.
Enjoy!
