I COMPLETELY apologize. This new launch of new items has been a cluster. I had to return my deluxe notebook TWICE due to issues. So not only has their customer service sucked for many--their quality control is even worse...

If you read their Facebook page, go to the posts to their page, there are a lot of unhappy people right now. I went to check it out as they sent an email today about the teacher planners and there was a typo with the date in the email.

Oh man. That stinks! I almost ordered one, the line was so cute. Hope things get straightened out.

Oh yeah...typo in that email today.
@coilstrand
It did work out on the third try but there are soooo many people unhappy....facebook pages dedicated to concerns.

I ordered two and one was perfect and one needed a little tweaking of the coil to get it to lay flat and it also had a page out of order. I also ordered some little extras and everything was fine with that. On the one that had the page out of order I just uncoiled it, put the page in the right place and put the coil back in. I had to tweak the coil anyway to get it to lay flat so it was just as easy to do that. It took me less than 15 minutes. I did send them an email about it but decided I didn't want to wait around to get a new planner so I was going to just hack it myself and it worked out fine.
I have since received an email from them asking for photos and since I had already taken them (before I recoiled it) I sent them. I am waiting to hear back from them if they are going to do anything about it. If they offer me a small credit, I'm going to take it. I shouldn't have had to uncoil it myself for the price I paid. But if they ask me to send it back I'm not going to do that. It's good enough but it's frustrating to drop that much money and have to make modifications.
I walked away from EC and went with a Plum Paper Planner in January because of EC customer service. But I loved the colors and design of the horizontal layout so much in the EC that I could not resist ordering.
Even though their service and quality control sucks ROYALLY, I do like the product so I decided it was worth the risk.

I have always wanted an Erin Condren----but cringed at the cost and the customer service complaints. I purchased a Plum Paper Planner and love it!! Cheaper, many beautiful covers, lots of extra add ons, at a better cost. Better customer service too! Last year it took a month for my planner to ship. This year the average is 2-3 weeks.
Miss Ang---they now have a horizontal format. This is what I ordered for this year. My planner should ship by the end of the week. Yay!!

I have been wanted one of their planners for a while. I finally took the plunge when they started taking pre-orders for the 15-16 horizontal planners. I even popped the extra $ for a personalized cover with a family vacation photo of us standing in front of the Disneyland Castle. I triple checked to make sure it was fine before I hit the submit button. Well, I got the planner in the mail on Thursday, and the photo is horrible. Just the very top of the castle can be seen, and my family is completely cut out. It's as if they magnified the photo before printing it. They e-mailed me on Friday asking for photos, and I submitted it. I hope they will fix this. I wish I would have just gone with Plum Paper Planner.

I have a small update on my planner error. I received an e-mail today that was very apologetic. They offered to send me a new planner cover with the photo error corrected, or a $21 credit to use for one of their other covers, or for anything that I want. Now I need to decide. Do I want the credit, or a new cover? The cover that they provided doesn't look bad. It's a zoomed in picture of the Disneyland Castle, so it won't look bad. Only I will know that my family was cropped out. I guess I need to look at their store to see if I would even be able to find $21 worth of stuff to buy if I take the credit.

Sorry to hear of your bad experience, OP.
I have been on the EC bandwagon for quite some time, but after hearing about the latest round of issues (and there are so many of them), I may be switching for my 2016 planner. I think the market is starting to get saturated and heck, there are free printable planners (very cute ones) available too. If people are willing to pay $50 (or more) then CS and Quality issues are even more important.

I went with Studio MBK this year and I can't say enough great things about them! I like Plum Paper but I think when everyone jumped off the EC bandwagon they went there and now there is quite a wait. Studio MBK was awesome and they shipped right away! I love the look of the EC, but the ordering is way too stressful.

This is SUCH a déjà vu from when she first opened shop years ago and had a Groupon. The problems and dissatisfaction felt by a number of peas is almost identical - there were multiple threads about it.

I finally cancelled my order and ordered a Plum Planner. As much as I enjoyed my EC this past year and was really looking forward to getting the new horizontal version the complete mess up with the metallic planners and EC complete lack of communication was such a disappointment.

Ah hell. And you got me into EC! I'm buying my 2016 planner in the fall, hopefully the kinks will be sorted out by then. I'm sorry you're having so much trouble with them.

I think if you wait, the kinks will be ironed out. I had to return two of the deluxe notebooks with the calendar due to the coil ripping my pages...third one is beautiful. I just think they need to really get their Quality Control figured out.

What happened with the metallic planners? I was going to order one, and then I heard something was wrong with them, but I don't have any idea what it was. And the month it will take to ship is kind of annoying. Maybe I just don't understand their process, but if they're literally printing each one as it comes through the order queue, that seems like something that could be improved upon.

You guys enabled me on this one! Just ordered my first paper planner in years - since my big Franklin Covey zipper binder. I went with plum paper. So excited to see how I like this

OP, this is definitely NOT directed at you...AT.ALL...but just a comment in general. Every single year the complaints about EC customer service and product quality fly fast and furious. I do not understand how she stays in business and how she has so many repeat customers. It's second verse, same as the first (that would be my impersonation of Nancy Grace ) over and over and over again. There has got to be comparable...or even better...product available with far less aggravation. So sorry you had such a bad experience...I hope you do enjoy your planner now that they finally got it right.

This thread got me wanting my own planner. Boy are there tons on Etsy or what? I looked at Etsy for several hours last night and finally settled on this one. I only use monthly so it was perfect, and cheap: link
