On a pizza? I have an abundance of basil so I've made a lot of pesto. I am mix hot pasta with it tonight with grilled chicken.
So what else can I do with it?

I use it as a spread on crostinis for bruschetta or other like toppings. I use it for pasta salad. I also mix it with extra oil and use it as the "marinade" for grilled vegetables or meats or tofu.

I make paninis with pesto, fresh mozzarella, and sliced tomatoes. Along these lines, you can also add it to a Caprese salad.

One of my most requested BBQ items is a pesto pasta salad. I use some kind of curly pasta, pesto, red peppers, grape tomatoes, parmesan cheese and toasted walnuts.

I mix pesto and mayo together to eat on a BLT type sandwich.. (well my sandwich is a Pioneer Woman sandwich in which she used this pesto/mayo spread) IT is SO good.. I typically toast two pieces of bread, ham/turkey/bacon (whatever combo you like).. I like sprouts on it.. and Havarti cheese... and put on the spread... it is delish!! (I don't do mustard, YUCK) lol

DH uses it in place of alfredo sauce with his chicken/pasta dish. So. Good.

Olive oil, pesto, garlic and chunked fresh tomatoes melded in a hot pan. Pour over Bowtie pasta and add feta cheese on top. So fresh and so delicious!

I mix it with Greek yogurt and cooked, cubed chicken breast for sandwiches. I add arugula, red onion and sliced tomato to the sandwich.

I use it on Ramen noodles (without the soup part, obviously) and shredded parmesan cheese. Mmmmm . . . craved it that way the whole time I was pregnant!

A really easy appetizer is to roll out a piece of Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry, spread a little pesto on & sprinkle w/Parmesan. Roll it up and then cut it into spirals & bake. Yummy.
This is the gist - I can give you amounts & baking time & temp if you like.

I like it with zucchini noodles cold or hot. I use my mandolin to julienne zucchini lengthwise making long "noodles" out of the zucchini. Let them drain in a strainer over a bowl for a few hours then toss with some pesto either cold or in a skillet. So good.

Pesto, chicken, and mozarella paninis. Or for a super quick dinner, I will mix it with a package of Buitoni cheese tortellini, precooked chicken breasts, and freshly grated parmesan.

I make an appetizer with feta cheese, then pesto, then chopped sundried tomatoes with olive oil drizzled on top. Serve with pita chips. Yum! I also use it with pasta, just add to hot pasta and stir, top with some grated Parmesan.

I use it on pasta with sun dried tomatoes and grilled chicken. My boys love it. It's good with goat cheese too. I also like it on toasted nutty whole wheat bread, such as vitle vittles.

I use it in different pasta salads and hot pasta dishes. Mix some with mayo for a sandwich spread. This Pesto stuffed pork chops is really good. Mixed in softened cream cheese with chicken or veggie stock/broth, it makes a good base for pasta sauce. ETA: here is the link. Pinterest link isn't working. Pesto Stuffed pork chops . Sorry about that.

One of our family favourites is to get bone in, skin on chicken breasts, separate the skin and spread pesto between the skin and meat. Then put a slice of goat cheese under the skin anf either bake or BBQ until the chicken is cooked. SO yummy!

Our most-often way of eating petso is over pasta. I like to use bowtie or spiral pastas, whatever shape/style is your favourite.
Cook pasta, drain, add lots of pesto. We like to add green peas and cherry tomatoes, too. And fresh parm to grate over top. Pesto pasta is best prepared a couple of hours ahead of time and served at room temperature.
