I'm an hour and a half north of Pittsburgh but DH is from Alliquippa. Pittsburgh is a great city! I'm a half hour north of Pgh, and only about 15 miles east of Alliquippa!

Ok Regina. You are my first stop! In reality we should get together sometime. The Outlets or Ross Park or downtown would be great! Might be time for a Western PA meet up.

I am in Wisconsin, it's been beautiful here. We can go to the water park capitol of the WORLD (aka Wisconsin Dells) and get some water slides and lazy river runs in. We can go hiking in Kettle Moraine State Forest. Go fishing in the Chippewa Flowage.
Of course, all of this will take a few days, they are spread apart!

I'm an hour and a half north of Pittsburgh but DH is from Alliquippa. Pittsburgh is a great city! We were up in Edinboro a couple weekends ago for a soccer tournament. Went to Presque Isle between games (and rainstorms!), it was nice. I have a couple friends from Alliquippa. I am not a fan of Pittsburgh weather at all! But I love my small community, so that is the only thing keeping me here. I am too sentimental for the house that our kids are growing up in. If I could keep my house here, I would love to move south! It is a small world. Edinboro is like a second home to us. DH was the college swimming coach there for years, two of my kids went to school there and I got my Masters from there. It's a lovely small town.

It's a beautiful day in NYC! We can go get coffee at a sidewalk café, then walk across Central Park to the Metropolitan Museum of Art if you like.

Our neighbor went there and graduated a few years ago. I tried to talk my daughter into going there, easy drive, far enough away, but could easily come home on the weekends (and they offered her a good amount of money without her even applying!). But she has said for years she will not go to school in PA, so she is going to a beautiful big campus in Maryland (my alma mater) and it is EXPENSIVE for out of state. I will try to talk my younger ones into Edinboro!

Another California stop here - I can take you to Yosemite and then over to the Central CA coast for the excellent wine tasting and whale watching.

Before you get to N. Dakota you'll want to stop and see me in MN. It's beautiful here today, 73 and sunny and the humidity isn't too bad for this time of year. I live near Stillwater where I can take you antique and gift shopping. Then we'll have a nice lunch with ice cream and old time candy for dessert and watch the lift bridge go up. After that I can take you just a hop, skip and a jump away to check out the Mall of America and IKEA which is only about 30 minutes from here! Fun, fun! If you have a weekend to spare, we could take you to our lake cabin about an hour away and DH would take you on a leisurely pontoon boat ride around the lake. Wet a line if you desire, and we could be having fresh panfish for dinner!

Leave my area for about a week and a half, and we'll take in the Calgary Stampede. There'll be lots of breakfasts all over the city, and we'll head to the grounds for some stampeding! We'll catch the rodeo during the afternoon and then see the chuckwagon races that night. It'll be a long, tiring day, but most people have a blast! Make sure to bring your western wear!!
The next day, we'll head west to Banff and enjoy a beautiful day in the mountains.

I live right outside of Memphis, so bring your shorts and flip flops. We could pop over and see where Elvis lived or visit our awesome zoo. If you get hungry we could find some hole in the wall bbq joint for some grub.

By the time you make it to me, you'd have to turn around to head home haha. I'm in Northern California. We could go hiking in the redwoods or take a leisurely stroll on the beach while searching for sand dollars. Take your pick - The Beach or the redwoods.. Both are just a few mins drive.

Chicago has a perfect day today. We could go to the beach, Millenium Park, the Bean, take an architectural boat tour, sail a tall ship on the lake...

There is absolutely nothing to do in my hometown. That's OK, though, because it's too dang hot and humid to do more than just try to survive!
Wait and swing through Alabama this fall. We will eat too much heavy food, go to a college football game, and enjoy my favorite season of the year!

Okay, it looks like you can pop by my place between Modchick and Sue. We can shop, go to the races, visit the mountains or the beach, or try kayaking.

As you round the tip of Lake Michigan to make your way to Wisconsin, stop in Chicago for a hot dog... ...but don't get caught putting ketchup on it. It's against the law here. Then we'll go to a play at one of 200 theaters. ETA: Whoops, missed the first Chicago plan. gsquaredmom has more ambition.

After you have visited Annie in Sheffield, head North and I will show you Durham Cathedral, opened in 1018, Hadrian's Wall (The Roman Wall) and Roman Forts built c128 AD. Then we can go to our very modern Metrocentre shopping mall and call in Starbucks or Costa Coffee our Italian coffee shops, have a meal at Jamie's Italian, then to a walk along our North Sea beaches and then perhaps fit in a visit to Alnwick Castle if there's time! And there's more! After that it's Scotland next stop where hopefully I'll hand over to one of our Scottish RPeas......! I'm in South Central Scotland and there's lots of historic sites to visit plus we are only an hour from both Edinburgh (my home town) and Glasgow where I will show you all the cities have to offer The only issue is that I'm currently enjoying the heat of Orlando so you'll need to wait 10 days before you come!

If you can make it over here during August, we can spend a few days in Edinburgh for the International Festival and the Fringe, the largest arts festival in the world. We can take in some history too; Edinburgh Castle was built in the 12th century, and the New Town dates from the 1760s. Then we can go west to Glasgow, for great shopping, great pubs and restaurants, and even more history. Then I'll put you on a train north to Jockscrap and gillyp.

I will take you to John O'Groats, the most northerly inhabited village, where you can catch a ferry and have a day trip to the Orkney Isles. They have standing stones at Stenness - the oldest stone circle on the islands; Skara Brae - a pre-historic village that was found under the sand after a huge storm hit the beach; a Chapel built by Italian prisoners of war in the 1940s from scavenged materials and St. Magnus Cathedral which was founded in 1137 by the Viking, Earl Rognavald. The next day you can see the actual most northerly point of mainland Britain, Dunnet Head, where you can watch Puffins flying around the cliffs then onward to the Castle of Mey which was the Queen Mother's holiday home and is where Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall come to stay, round about this time of year. Head south to view Dunrobin Castle then onward to Jockscrap.

GillyP's road trip is going to be hard to beat...it sounds fab, so I might have to tag along on that one too. On our way down to mine, we can visit Loch Ness for a spot of Nessie hunting, then we can take in the Cairngorms National Park, and take the funicular railway up to the top to take in the views. If you can get over here quickly, you'll be able to enjoy the Scottish heatwave we are having just now, whilst following the Castle Trail which takes you round some of the most beautiful and historic buildings in Scotland. Then we could head back south a bit to the Trossachs for a boat ride across Loch Katrine, with a picnic by the waterside. Every few hours, we would of course be stopping for tea, Scotch pancakes and scones, and have at least one proper Scottish high tea. How does that sound?

While you are swinging through Memphis to pick up ~Susan~ drive across the state line to Mississippi and pick me up and we can all go to Graceland (just a few miles north of me) and maybe run to the Bass Pro Shop in the Pyramid or catch a show at the Orpheum!

Well, after Chicago come north to western Michigan, where I am for the summer. We can soak up some sun at the dunes, maybe walk to Lake Michigan if we're feeling energetic. For dinner we could eat at an outdoor restaurant in Pentwater, one of those cute little lake towns.
