OK, I know July is long gone, but here is what I did with: Paper pads of any size (8x8 pads ) flat stickers one of the oldest things in your stash (heart page) These 8x8 pages I did for my "things I think about" album and are very old pics. I was going through old pics for some reason I don't remember and drug a few out. I started with the one of the dds with the cat. On the wall behind them is a picture of their big sister and her family who were in Thailand at the time. I was thinking of a quote and the journaling says: "There is a quote about raising children that says, "The Days are long but the years are short." In the midst of the busynesss of work, worry and problems, no one understands until it's over. When I found this picture, taken in 1989, I realized that the years were getting very short. Jenny, Mike and Joshua had just gone to Thailand and Courtney and Wendy were teens. In only 6 years, Courtney would be married and in 9, Wendy, too. I wish I could have enjoyed those very short years more. The 1986 pic is remembered because these 2 were waiting for "room inspection"...my attempt to try to get them to clean their rooms. I probably would not have remembered that I did that except for this pic.

@elaynef, thank you for posting these layouts. I love the "waiting for room inspection". My girls had those exact rainbow bedspreads too. It brought back a lot of memories. I, too, have been going through old photos and feel that your quote is so perfect. I miss those years with the kids in younger years. Now I have to get my fill of motherhood through the grandchildren (who are also growing into adulthood!) Life goes so quickly. Thanks for posting these as a reminder!

I love the reflective perspective on your journaling. One of the things I've most noticed about growing up is how much faster time seems to go by and I think this page is a perfect reminder to enjoy the present.
Thanks for playing along - inspiration doesn't know it's no longer July!
