Another one here for sewing on a page! I want to try it, don't have a machine.

Explore my Cameo more. I've done basic cuts only a few times...

Another one for print and cut! I don't have a wide format printer and I think I'll screw it up You don't have to have a wide format printer. You just set your paper size on your Cameo to 8 1/2 x 11. I love the print and cut feature. It was intimidating at first but I watched a couple of YouTube videos. I tried to follow a youtube video but they seemed to have slightly different settings than show up on my computer screen. The pictures printed out were all out of whack. I wondered if it was because I had just installed a new update?
All the youtube videos I found were done at least a few years ago. If you know of any good ones I'd love to know. I have bought so many Print and Cut files that have never been used!
I'm currently on holidays for 2 weeks so I've got time to play.

Here is how I do it -
Open your Silhouette program
Go to Design Page Settings - on my program it is the fifth icon from the right - the one that looks like a piece of paper with arrows on it
Set your width to 8 1/2 and your length to 11 - you should see your paper outline on your mat
Go Registration Marks - on my program it is the fourth icon from the right - looks like a piece of paper with marks in each corner
Go to the Style area (first icon on the Registration Marks list) and click on the down arrow and choose the type. I use the first choice but I had to experiment first
On your page you will see 3 marks and some areas that appear to be xed out.
Now open the file you want to print and cut - resize your image - be sure it's within the marks and the xed out area
Now choose Trace - sixth icon from the right
Click on Select Trace Area - the first choice on the list
Draw a box around the image - the box will turn gray and you'll see yellow lines around the image - it's important to know that every place there is a yellow line the machine will cut. I'm assuming you want an image cut out. So go to the third section of the Trace list and click on the High Pass Filter. Move the arrow to the right until the image is mostly yellow. Then in the Apply Trace Method area click on Trace Outer Edge. You'll see a red line around the image. To check if you have the outline you want click on the image and move it away from the red lines. You should see a nice red outline. If you do Click Edit then Undo Move Shape
Now send this file to your printer from the Silhouette program
Place your paper on your cutting mat - be sure it's lined up in the upper left corner - load the cutting mat into the Silhouette
From the Silhouette program sent the file to the Silhouette and click start.
You should see the machine find the registration marks and then cut your image
I hope ;-)
Start with a simple cut. Once you do one you'll be ready to take off and cut like crazy. This is one of my favorite features of the Silhouette.
Please let me know it this works for you.

Stamping. I have tried it is always a failure. I think someone who knows me summed it up by stating because I like a very clean image, and I just can't get it right. And I am not into coloring stamped images either. If I do stamp (on the rare occasion), I will stamp on a separate item and add it to whatever I am working on. Because inevitably, I will screw it up. I can even mess up a date stamp. Have you tried Archival Ink by Ranger? It gives a clean, crisp image every time.

OH MY GOODNESS!!
gramma, I just printed off your instructions and voila! I just did my first ever successful Print and Cut. I have owned my Silhouette for 4 years.
Thank you so much. Your instructions were so simple and they WORKED! Guess what I'll be doing tonight??

Part of the problem is I get ink where I don't want it on the stamp and I don't know it until I stamp and voila, there is always a little smudge somewhere.

I have never machine stitched on a page. I'd have to drag my machine out of the closet and set it up. I'd like to buy a mini sewing machine someday. I think I'll add it to my wishlist on Amazon...DD can tell DH to buy it for Christmas. This is me and my wish too! I love the look of stitching on pages or cards but I just don't have room for my machine in my craft room.
