Please share a random fact about yourself, so we can get to know each other better!
Me:
My best friend is a Christian missionary in the Amazon rainforst in Brazil – with the indigenous tribes right on the Amazon River, several hours to get to by boat… And I plan to save up to visit her and help with the children’s ministry someday! It will be awhile, I just graduated and am job searching, but it’s on my bucket list!
What about you?

How cool Tara! Are you able to get any photos from her? Sounds awesome! Let's see. A little about me. By the time I was in 3rd grade, I had lived in: California Nevada Arizona New Mexico Texas Oklahoma Alabama Florida Ohio After that, I lived in Englad and Germany until after high school. My parents stayed in Europe for 5 more years after I came to the U.S. Now I have lived in the South for 26 years, and I don't want to move anymore.

My appliances are going to be famous! No seriously, when we remodeled our kitchen, we posted our lovely harvest gold double wall oven and matching vent hood & range for sale on Craigslist. They were bought by a production company to be used in building a set for an upcoming Tom Cruise movie!

I have a fire hydrant sitting in my living room. LOL My husband brought it home today. And, no, he is not a fireman. He just thought it was cool. He had it repainted and it looks brand new.

So glad you were ok I was about 12-13ish and it was the kind of Farris wheel that has the chairs not the buckets (hope that makes sense) anyways the guy didn't latch the bar across my friend and I and it was very windy and the boys on chair on top of us was swaying their chair back and forth which was making us sway and along with the wind and the no latch I fell off. It wasn't a huge tall Farris Wheel like at the big amusement parks but it was a decent ways down. They rushed me by ambulance to ER and was for sure thinking at the very least I broke something. Nope all was fine except for the massive egg like thing that formed on my leg after I fell.

I took dance lessons for 15 years. At one point I wanted to dance professionally or teach or do choreography or something. But one day I changed my mind and pretty much quit cold turkey. I felt like I was missing out on other parts of life and I was tired of the pressure (real or perceived) to be super thin.

I once managed to fall in such a way while ice skating that I ran over my thumb with my ice skate (and needed stitches) - I'm sort of a klutz that way.

I can recite the alphabet backwards just as quickly as I can forwards.
I was born with an extra bone in my left foot. They took it out when I was 13.

My husband and I raised 2 orphaned baby squirrels. They lived in the house with us and our dogs! I'm so torn between shouting "THAT's SO TOTALLY AWESOME!" (80%) and slightly cringing worrying about the logical/practicality of it - them being wild (20%).

Before graduating high school I had lived in 3 towns in Illinois. 1 in central IL until I was 5, then southern IL from 5-17, the last town was just senior year in with a friend to finish high school after my Dad died.
Since high school (1988), I have lived in 2 countries (US & Switzerland) 8 US states (IL, PA, GA, CO, WI, IN, OH, MI) and 13 towns. I'm so, so sick of moving.

I hope you don't have a dog that might mistake it for the real "outdoor" thing! Lol I was self employed most of my adult life and now work for a large university. I love that I'm not on-call 24/7 and that when I leave the office at night I don't have to worry about anything!

I've had my artwork commissioned/displayed in public places... The first time it happened was when I was 6 (was painted when I was 5), and it's still on display at the science museum...

I went to 3 different high schools. My Dad was an IBM programmer...I call myself an "IBM brat"
there was Houston (where I really grew up)
Rockville, MD
and
San Jose, CA (he worked at the 'think tank') where I graduated.
I was actually fine with it...wasnt one who HAD to have the same friends. Enjoyed each area of the country, except MD in the winter. Me and snow and ice did not get along.

As a child, I went to at least one of comedienne Roseanne Barr's birthday parties, and she came to at least one of mine. We also ended up at girls' camp at the same time. We were not, however, really friends. Our mothers were.

I have a brain injury and memory issues from having been resuscitated after I died. I had three sudden cardiac arrests in 2012 from an undiagnosed sudden arrythmia death syndrome called long qt. The lack of oxygen has created many issues.
