My scrap space becomes the sort of catch-all for stuff at our house and I'm reclaiming it right now. DH and DS will be gone all next week so i'm hoping to have lots of scrapping time. It's been such a mess I haven't even wanted to go in, but this week I have been bagging up trash and removing things that belong elsewhere. Cleaned my desk off yesterday and I'm looking forward to making some pages. Anyone else have a disaster of a space they need to clean. I will send you virtual support.

How's it going? Looks like no one else is into cleaning today. Everyone is out by the pool grilling burgers!
I do need to clean my floors. DH hired some guys to help him work in the yard yesterday and today and they made a big mess!

I'm Canadian so wasn't off today. My dh is heading out to his friends now so I want to do a bit of cleaning. Get my paint swatches done tonite. He is working all weekend so I want to scrap and clean some. Even though I have 2 rooms dedicated to scrapping. They are smaller rooms, I still scrap at kitchen table or coffee table. It's still easier though if my rooms are clean. I'm going to finish my tea on the porch and head in.

Right now, I have stuff on my desk that I've put there from craft cleaning. But 2 months ago, everything just got piled in my room from all over the house. It took me a week to clean. And nothing is as great of a motivator than the rest of the family leaving so you can have some time to craft. I SO feel ya! Hope you get a lot done and much relaxing next week!!

I'm right there with ya! I have 2 Pocket Letter swaps due at the end of July (I'm slow at these so it takes me awhile) and my Cave is a mess! I have to clean it before I start anything new.

Congratulations on your progress!
My summer project is decluttering/organizing our entire home. I've finished every room, closet, nook, & cranny, except the craft room. Yesterday, I tackled its walk-in-closet, which I discovered had become the catch-all for everyone. I'll spend another couple of days addressing the memorabilia, especially the school-related stuff. I really need to adopt a strategy for scrapping our only child's school years, do it, & toss the rest.
Have fun scrapping next week...

Mine is a work in progress, but lately there's been too much else going on to make any progress! I have one more event next weekend to get through and then I should have a little time to chip away at it again until DD starts school at the end of August. So I will take your virtual support and send some right back at ya! For now, I live vicariously through my fellow cleaning and organizing Peas!

Mine is a hot mess because I've been scrapping quite a bit... and not putting away what I've taken out to use. Plus I've been kitting for a crop so that has added to the chaos. I probably won't get it cleaned up until after the crop. I just don't want to use the time to clean! Good luck cleaning peas! I hope you make it out of your spaces in one piece

Spent most of my day making a 12 by 12 paper storage sort thingy out of one of those wire cube sets. managed to empty out a few pieces of "furniture" that held all my 12 x12 paper.
Sometimes I think I like organizing more than scrapping. Lol!

I have a house full of people this weekend and next so my cleaning consisted of opening drawers and stuffing everything in. I just prefer not to think about the sorting it back out phase.

I am sewing today and then tomorrow I am going to tackle the scraproom. I don't expect it will be functional, but it will be a start.

Earlier this week, I emptied a closet in my scrapbook/computer room. Some things went back in the closet and other things are sitting on my desk and floor. I'm headed in there right now to get rid of more magazines. Here I go........

I'm on vacation right now, but when I get back next week I have to start packing to move. I'm dreading packing up that scrap room. We've been in this house 31 years, and I've accumulated scrapbook stuff for about 20 years. I'd like to clean out & organize as I pack, but I don't know if that will happen.

Mine isn't a disaster, but I can see things accumulating that will quickly breed and multiply like bunnies. Can't work on it today, but I plan to get it under control tomorrow. Since I claimed the room for myself about a year ago, I sadly have no one but myself to blame.

I have totes of paper to donate, a big bucket of rubber stamps to rehome, and several dozen layouts in partial kits that need to be finished so I can work on them at a crop in two weeks. I am also turning a board into a bulletin board with different sized cork circles. Need to find a glue gun.

I just moved. New house is bigger but that is because we needed another bedroom for rapidly-approaching baby, so the bigger new house is awesome but doesn't have the basement craft room I had with drawers and shelves custom built. I know, I know, the hardships we must bear, but I have had to downsize a lot and am currently surrounded by boxes of things to still sort even after giving away probably fifteen boxes of stuff and after trashing probably another twenty bags. It's not fun. I have a cabinet on order that hopefully will help, but, until then, my space isn't that functional.

Sometimes I think I like organizing more than scrapping. Lol! I get distracted by organizing! I like figuring out what little do dad will hold which supply. However, by no means am I organized! It is an ongoing project for me.

It is an ongoing project for me. I usually get distracted by organizing as well. This time it was really bad. I got to my small scraps which were entirely in disarray. So... I went through and cut them down if they were wonky shapes. Then anything too small I punched butterflies or hearts out of before throwing away. Those went into their appropriate containers. Then I decided the best way to neaten up the remaining scraps was to use them on cards. So then I started making cards. End result: Hours and hours later I've neatened up about 6 square inches of space.

Mine isn't too messy right now but that's because it's too darn hot in there to venture in and work on anything. The only ones using it right now are the cats as their private sauna.

My scrap room is the local dumping grounds also! I have been working on it for the past week-even ordered new organizer bookcases from Walmart. It is looking really good now -I only have a few more things to go thru! I am planning on scrapping a page later this evening. I even got my stamps organized! I am hoping this clean-up will be the one to make me quit changing things as I think I kept moving things due to the clutter in the room.

Last night I took 20 typed pages of supplies and broke them down into categories on separate pages to put into a notebook. I like organizing as much as scrapping. I need a bigger room.
ETA: I put the cork circles on the board with cork letters SMILE around the biggest circle. I love it. Much of it is covered with pictures now, but it used to be magnetic (paint) and the pictures fell off.

My room went to hell in a hand basket when I started using, hoarding, some heirloom furniture in there. I need to go back to my tall white plastic laminate book cases with more storage. Not as unique but mor wed diciest and clean.
ETA Not as unique but more efficient and clean. Autofill is crazy.

The table in my scrap space is covered in the remains of recent projects but I can get it into shape this week I think. My biggest mess comes from my kids' never-ending piles of art projects!
