Last night I got a message (again) that my storage is almost full on my iphone 5s. I plugged it into my pc to get the pictures and videos off and I noticed I have 3+gig of "documents and data" on my phone. I did a quick google search and found that it's the cache of the apps (even though I turn them off when done) or even my text messages. I looked unders messages and realized I had the option to keep messages forever, so I moved that to 30 days, which will hopefully give me 2g, but how do you clear this documents and data from your iphone? I am probably deleting too much, but it's annoying! Any tips? or apps to use to help me clean this up? A search said to use Battery Doctor, but some reviews said it doesn't help with this issue... so I thought I'd ask the peas! =) Happy 4th!

Go to Settings>General>Usage>Manage Storage to see what, specifically, is taking up space.

for me it was old texts. I had tons and tons of texts that weren't even useful text strings.

If you change the retention period to only 30 days, it should remove everything older than that.

I have a LOT OF TEXTS... But they only take up 92 MB . My photos take up 2.2 GB. So deleting every single text won't even make a dent on my phone. I need to clear off my photos!
